Hello Jaq
I simply love this and the sentiments are super. I too feel that Mother nature is paying us back for our destruction of the Earth. The biggest worry is that we do not see it. I think those are religious believe that a miracle will happen and those fat cats hope that a miracle will happen. Fish are a superb example. Overfishing is affecting us all and the criminal aspect is a large percentage of a catch are thrown back DEAD.
Wonderful poem my friend. It stirred up enough emotion for a six, but I was not allowed. So be aware that it is worth six from me.

I really liked this poem. I agree with your points and reasoning because you got your message across so clearly and because I am a nature lover. You were very descriptive and imagery was present. Good word choice and spelling. No suggestions perfect as is. I could almost smell smoke while reading this. Or was that my fireplace? Either way great poem.

I planned to do all the reviewing from my inbox today:-) Loved the thought of this. I believe in being Eco-friendly and that people should STOP cutting down the trees in the rain forests! It's leaving the animals without habitats. And with global warming we need all the clean oxygen we can get. Humanity is sort of destroying the world in a way, not appreciating the beauty its holds, or the beauty it held before we tore it all away. And the idea of all the natural disasters being revenge for us polluting the world... Well... Best idea for a write that I've seen in a long time:-)

I've seen that one before Jaq and it certainly is a sad indictment of the ways of men. Will we ever learn? Maybe not while the almighty profit motive is in full drive.

In my portfolio you'll find an interesting environmental protest poem, 'Sam Superb the Blue Wren', spoken from his perspective, I'll get around to promoting it one day.

David Attenborough Documentaries are my favorite thing, and one of the few things, I watch on TV. And I have a library of extraordinary videos that display the wonders of this sacred planet in all their glory.

Your poem is an extremely well written slap in the face for all those that have little regard for the beauty they desecrate. I'm with you mate in the eco-warrior army!!!
Brilliant is all I can add, plus a big six star hit as well!
