Bravo to the strong spirit that lives on through adversity. This is a great expression of resilience. I love the images you bring out and also the rhyme pattern is good.

I love the picture. New life coming from the ashes. It works well with the poem. I could feel the emotion all the way through the poem. You were in the depths of despair. You were digging yourself out of the hole. Then hope over took you and new life came from the ashes. Great work.

What an outstanding poem that ypu have written here. The message of hope that runs through your poem is extremely strong. This poem is both motivational and very emotional.
Excellent analogy with the soul spirit and a phoenix. That is what creates character in people the ability to rise up and take on the next challenge.
Your word choice and structure through all the stanzas illustrates all the above points and further helps with the flow of the poem. It makes the reader think, which is what you want in this type of poem.

Tghe message of abuse and the ability to rise above it is keenly felt by the reader. We are all survivors, the ones who still drive on through the storms of life and keep on the road no matter the obstacles in our way, and I am glad you are able to share this.

Congratulations on being included in the poem of the month contest. I'm so proud of you! I feel the emotions you speak of in this poem. I have certainly been through a rough few years recently where I felt:
"Beaten, bruised, bowed and
bludgeoned".
Just a curiosity:
"bringing hope to
dries my
eyes" - I wonder about this stanza. Should it be "dry" instead of "dries"? Could be just me.
I like your positive ending. It gives hope to those that may not be through their tough times yet.

Whilst I remember, there is a typo in 4th stanza, you have typed 'dries' instead of 'dry'. thought I would check out some more of your writes and I am not disappointed. Loving the flies, rise, eyes, cries rhyming, they're so great in the one-worded lines. We rise out of the ashes with strong wings and soar higher than we ever thought we would. Beautiful and promising.
