You realize the more I read of your work I am going to have to repeat my messages to the point of boring because I can honestly say, f..k that is priceless, excuse the swear word but it is descriptive. Cudos

Not at all, I use swear words quite frequently as you may have picked up on in this piece. I was told that the "God squad" on this sight would get me for the irreverence of this piece, but they did not surface and I received really great reviews.

I am so happy to have someone like you who appreciates satire and gets that it pushes the envelope and is intended to be over the top. Thank you so much for your great review.

Philosophy is interesting, and differing viewpoints fun to debate and to think about. I however have to admit to thinking of humans as a virus in the solar sytem. Virus evolve too! I am thinking one day, the earth willwake up and take a shower, and away we go!. When I think of a creator, i think of an earth goddess, who is weeping for allowing us free will. I enjoyed your piece ( I too have an "IffY" cousin)..Thanks for making me think, and for choosing myartwork! Donkeyoatey

Oh, I love your artwork, it is so creative and perfect for my piece.

Thank you for this most generous and very entertaining review. I love your idea of the earth waking up and taking a shower to rid itself of us, if it were only that simple!

Damned if you didn't hit it right on the head, my friend. It's way above my pay grade too. So I'll just say that I enjoyed the read.

Mon ami, I love your satirical take on the whole question of life, here. I really enjoy this sort of style, and think you've made a lot of very interesting points. Love the polar bear adapting to Bermuda, and the desert people having beach-front properties. Your humour is 'Private Eye' standard.

Love your review, especially the part about my humor being 'Private Eye' standard; couldn't ask for more.

Really glad you enjoyed the piece.

What an enteraining, thought-provoking, wonderful essay this is! Your writing is clear and clever, the arguments put forth logical (and supported with evidence) (the ice shelf IS dissolving, the ozone IS beginning to resemble Swiss cheese, and so on) This is satire MEGA-sized, and I loved every word. (YIKES - only Sunday and almost all my sixes are gone - sigh...)

Aaah the God Squad has just put a price on your head ... time to get outta town gal!
Below: TWO sentences ending not only in a preposition, but the SAME preposition?? OMG!
None appear to have prehensile tails, though or at least that I know of. Although, there is one cousin I have never really been quite sure of.

to the overall rising(raising) of the temps in the seas

love:
Just try to spin this one my spin doctor friends and tell me this isn't really a list of major cataclysmic fuckups.

does not need to damper(dampen?) our spirits to find middle ground.

seeing how things are being run(,) or not, as the case may be

I've just got to give you a '6' for the hell of it!! :) S

Okay, I'll clean up my grammatical act. I knew when I ended those sentences in prepositions I would get called out on it. Also, should learn to go with my first instinct, as I had 'raising' and then seconded guessed myself and changed to 'rising'.

You were being too kind and generous to give me a six on this, Sharyn; is it cocktail hour in HI and you are relaxed and feeling charitable (just kidding, of course). However, sipping Mai Tais and watching one of those amazing sunsets sounds pretty damn good to me. I sorely miss the sunsets.

I do thank you and I will make the changes.

I find that mankind repeats that same mistakes over and over again expecting different results. That is the true definition of insanity. This was an excellent article that was written very interestingly and has a lot of wisdom in its thoughts and observations. I enjoyed reading every word of it... John

John, I so agree that mankind does seem to subscribe to that very definition of insanity, as you stated. Would love to see us get off that treadmill someday soon, but I won't hold my breath waiting.

Thank you so much for this very kind review.

Cheekie it is. I thoroughly enjoyed your take on life. You definitely are a gifted storyteller. I especially liked the god being a woman paragraph. Spot on.

    Glad you enjoyed the read.

Yes, if the 'omnipotent' creator position were open for elections, I would definitely cast my vote for a woman. This place could sure uses a woman's touch.

Thank you so much for you review and comments.

Okay, Marisa... I've got one thing to say to you... but damn if I can think of what it is now... so how 'bout I just chat with you 'bout life (satirically speaking).

A very clever, cheeky write... and you do it so well, as past posts have shown. There was a time when friends and I had conversations like this during rest periods between pick-up basketball on Sunday mornings... you know... Created or Evolved?... which always seemed more intellectually stimulating than McDonald's or KFC?

This, Marisa, is a great write... A really great write.

As for Create or Evolve?... I'm a Southern Baptist (ask my mom if you don't believe me) so God is the Big Guy... but fossils kinda say Evolve so evolution it is... unless the fossils were planted by Grand Conspirators... and we all know who they're not!

Well, our moms would be in perfect sync, as two Baptist women usually are. And you and I would probably get whopped on the head for any sort of blatant irreverence. However, between you, me and the fencepost, I am leaning toward the evolution thing myself, so if I even get to the outskirts of heaven, which is seriously doubtful, I know my mom will be waiting for me and that whop will most certainly be retroactive .... she has a very long memory.

Thank you so much for your kind and clever review. I truly do appreciate the fact that you 'get' my whacked sense of humor.

Marisa,

You've hit on so many valid points here. I really like it that you're familiar with Kierkegaard, and your quotes of his writings are beautifully selected. Also, your author notes cracked me up. ZAP!

I thoroughly enjoyed this read and found one nit:

"The fact that his hypothesis was abandon [abandoned] does not need to damper our spirits to find middle ground."

Hi Dave and good Sabbath to you! I'm so glad you like the story. It is in keeping with my ongoing irreverence.

Thanks for the catch, I will correct it directly.
