The woman in the picture is all that. I guess I didn't get a message about this one. I was thinking I hadn't Read you for a while so I had to check. This is clever. Good luck with the prompt Jimmy..Nancy

Great piece, Jax. The format is excellent but the words completely open a once forgotten world. i think they still watch and wish ;)

Your poem evokes an image even sexier than the one in your accompaning artwork...so, you can imagine the pictures I'M getting!!!
Excellent handling and forming of the words into the required syllabic measures. Your pen doubles nicely as an artist's brush!

Great six line poem... Absolutely great. Perfect description of the eye-catching lady. Perfect imaging of her burning the minds (especially since she's red-hot) of the leering old men (leering gives us the right mental picture) and of course the 'wishing for way back when'... a great example of old men with young thoughts and time travel wishes...

well done

    Thanks my friend. I am glad the verse touched you. You really got it. You are the second person that thought leering was the best verb, that observation will drive improvement in my work. So I thank you both for that. I guess we all end up dreaming about the past. Thanks Jax

I really like your entry. It has flare, a great presentation and your words are so true. I can verify that, because I'm one of those old men. Good luck. Bill

Very good use of the numbered amount of syllables. You use strong and descriptive words that entice the imagination of the reader. Well done.

The poem is perfect for the photo, or is the photo perfect for the poem?
Either way, it's a great entry for the contest,
Best of luck with that,
John

Old age is so merciless! Maybe the old men should stop their ogling, but one can hardly blame them for wishing for a return to way back when admiring glances would not be disparaged as leers.

    Amen sister.time marches on. But believe me the admiring thing is BS, Freud was right on it's all about the sex. Its the old guys can only dream. Thanks for the read and comment. Jax

Good alliteration of "Sexy" "Slinky" to begin a well-written contest entry;
Many women can also relate to their younger days as they view the photograph!
Thank you for reminding us of youthful days we will always remember.

Love these 6 line poems - people are so ingenious with the prompt! Amazing what pictures you can paint in so few syllables - this is a goodie! :) Sharyn
