Wow! I guess you never know about a person. There are pathological liars everywhere, sometimes they become politicians in America. Sometimes they are recognized as criminals.

Please check your resourses and try to help me. I want this woman to stop. If she doesn't care about her own children, then you can't trust her to respect America. ingrid

Do you have a picture of her?
reply by the author on 05-Nov-2012
Not really. Have paictures, but no scanner. She's about 5'6" tall, heavey set, maybe 150 lbs, brilliant blue eyes and very long brown(subject to change) hair. she has a tatoo on her lower back with stars.

If I had a picture I could tweet it on Twitter. That would get it out to about 500 people who follow me.

what a sad and heart wrenching true story. I live in Mazatlan so my resources are limited. However, I do have friends in the Seattle Police Department and will ask one of the detectives to check and see if there is anyway to find Candiss. I cannot promise anything, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask.

This was a very sobering piece of non fiction. I hope you don't feel too badly about telling a child his mother is a bad person. He most likely already know this in his heart, but blames himself. Your telling him may have saved his self esteem. He needs to know this is all her and not him. You keep telling him how your life would be different if you didn't have him. He may not understand at first, but eventually he will. By the way, I raised a son by myself for the first ten years and told him the only purpose his stupid (absentee) father had was to help make him. He's twenty nine years old and he is doing great. Best of luck.

And my child is 37 and our biggest crime was, and continues to be love. I'll read the poetry sites to figure out if we need bluebirds shirping in the background to make it real.Appreciate your feedback.

Hi Spiritual Echo,

Wow, was this write ever a shock! First I will say, I love children, all children, no matter whose children they might be and to hear that a child has to go through such an experience is terrible to say the least. And you as a grandmother have my deepest sympathy. However, you just wrap those little ones in a blanket of love and don't despair. I believe there might be a slim chance I might be able to help.
First I need to know is Candiss an American? I will need this info for inquiring purposes.
Several weeks ago I was watching a local news cast and weekly they show numerous criminals giving info on the subjects wanting people to help find and turn them in. I saw a woman's picture and her name was Candiss. I can't remember the last name, but I can call and find out if it's the same woman.
I am at this time off from my job and it will be no problem to check this out for you. Get back to me and we will start the search immediately.
Give your son a big hug for me as I'm sure he can use one about now.

Yes, Becky. i'm serious. By birth she was a Canadian born in, I think, Guelph Ontario, Canada. Her father's name is Bill Rider (Ryder) Her surrent mother's name is Karen Farbey. Grandmother's name is Marilyn Armstrong.

I want more than anything to give these kids justice.

The little girl never knew her mother, she left when she was 18 months old. In my portfolio I wrote a story called Michael's Justice, but it didn't explain the tragedy of Aiden. Candiss has flipped men and lives and abandoned a boy.

She was pregnant when my son met her and convinced two men they were the father. Today, many miles further, I am the grandma, and no, he is not biologically connected, but he is MINE. His psychological problems, the vomit, the abuse is gone, but he still longs for a mommy that rejected him, treated him like a bowel movement. For three years since Candiss went on her campaign to pretend she was royalty, invulnerable, I have nurtured this boy, fallen in love, bled and cried. He punishes me, and I am grateful. That's a mother's burden. I stepped in for his childhood rants.

My son is a great father, but I want justice. Tell me I'm an idiot, that's okay. Maybe I'm wrong...but as long a I shot down dellussions, I might as well give a damn. ingrid

What a deeply emotional story you have written! And we all have the potential to get involved in things like this. Shattering the allusions of children is never a good thing, and it always makes us feel morally wrong. To always have faith and believe in the next good thing, to me, is the hope of humanity. Thank you so much for choosing my artwork. DonkeyOatey

Well -- this is an interesting piece to say the least. While hoping it's not true, I fear it is. If that is the case, I wish you had written a question about telling children Santa isn't real, because misery loves company and he'll tell his classmates. The solution was a lot simpler. Santa has to be paid -- no one gets something for nothing. It explains why some kids get everything and some kids barely get anything. None the less, what's done is done. i must ask, why find this woman? The kids are better off without her.

Anywho, I found the following spags --

Her name was Candiss Pettitt She -- you need a period before She.

perhaps no even knowing -- think you meant not

It is absolutelt true. Do try and find her for me. I have a few words to say, the leats of which is to wish her well and buy her a one-way ticket to Siberia and another pool of fools.

If you are an American help me find her so that I can faciliate her journey into eternity.

Sounds like the Tony Curtis movie, "The Great Pretender," a true story about a man. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

You've taken on quite a task, SE. Charlie
reply by the author on 05-Nov-2012
Which part, Charlie? Making children believe there is right/wrong, fooling them about justice or punishing them for being vulnerable. Never mind, I'm sorry.
reply by c_lucas on 05-Nov-2012
Tony Curtis played the lead, using several roles to show how the pretender succeeded. I I believe you are an individual, like myself, who has a large heart for children. We never enjoy when our adult's roles when they have a negative force against them.

Ingrid, I am so sorry. I do hope the authorities find her and put her into prison, where she belongs. At least your grandchildren will know where she is - for a while. Hugs to the kids - of all ages. Santa lives in the heart. :) nancy

Nancy, you are rewarding me with stars by my sheer emotion and yes, it is real. Look in the white pages, help me find her.

I've done everthing less than I am capable of, but still, I never thought I would need to crash and at the same time try to preserve a child's belief system.

    I'm not writing, I'm bleeding.

I know, dear. And sometimes all you can do is your best. Aiden's not stupid. He knows when he's being lied to. He may not like the truth, but he won't blame you for it.

Do you really think she's still using that name? I wouldn't be. I'll look. :) Nancy

I have been trying to suppress the rage for years. It works better as a muted force.

But, not again, never more, not in my lifetime...so strike me down or let me win, just one.

This was a very enjoyable read. It kept my interest to the end! Superb story! We all have things we regret, which makes your story easy to relate to. Good luck!

Congratulaions...I see you are a new memberon.

I ususpecy you are trolling for point. I'd advise you, in future, to read the post and pay attention to the category.

This was a heartfelt cry for help. Not a story.

I'm glad you found it 'enjoyable.'

Your assumption is incorrect, and quite rude. I am sorry if I have offended you in anyway. I should have used better word choices, but am not fishing for points.

Try not to advance a plastic veneer. I'm sure you have something to say. On the other hand, I am looking for a single American who can deport a mini terrorist.

How do you fare in that game?
