I loved every word of this one. You have a marvelous way with words. You take the reader on a wild ride from uproarious laughter to spine chilling terror in less than a snap of two fingers. I nearly fell off my chair reading:
I'd have laughed and swept it under the carpet. But all my rugs had been pulled out from under me.
I anxiously await the next chapter.

Thanks so much, my dear friend! I was really worried about this chapter, whether it was too slow or too wordy or out of touch with the previous one. It took me several days to finish because I had real trouble getting on with it.

Thank you, Scarlet :-). Mike Radshaw even thinks in sarcasm, so he's a character I enjoy writing (I break out all the metahpors and similes I can think of). So glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you, Brooke :-). He's definitely one of my favourite characters. I couldn't believe it when I saw the date I'd posted the last chapter! Definitely time to conclude this tale.
