Sandra, this is delightful. Also, sends a good message
about children cleaning their room. Lovely rhyming
quatrains. Smarty Pants was clever indeed.

Once more, you've charmed me with you children's poetry. It is a great gift to retain the heart of a child. You've done it well.

Another very good writing, light ,simply and elegantly written as it caters to such a wide range of readers. The feeling getting expressed in the words and lines are such that it definitely brings out a child in every reader.Another masterpiece for sure and I believe writing poems like this comes inherently and cannot be acquired.

Wow, What a great children's rhyming poem. Every thing was just perfect, the flow, the rhyming, the play with the words. I truly enjoyed the beautiful poem; it made me smile and can't wait till my granddaughter read it. Excellent Job!!

What a delightful narrative poem! I know children and adults will love it. I like the way you allowed the brother to trick sis--but in a nice way, for a good reason; and it all turned out great. Skillfully done

Hullo Sandra ....

I really enjoyed reading this poem which you have written for children. The wording is good but there is room for improvement in the metre or rhythm of some of your lines.
Especially for children, I believe that it is the rhythm that keeps their attention more than anything else in a poem.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Love from .... Nanette Mary.

Well done! An excellent poem in response to the prompt. It teaches a lesson of morality in a fun and sing-song way. I can see a child smiling along as someone reads it aloud. These lessons are best learned earlier than later, so the sooner you can communicate these ideas to a young child, the better! I see no editing suggestions, and my favorite lines are: "Suddenly Smarty Pants reached out with his hand
then frowning, then smiling, he went over to stand" - he is a Smarty Pants, isn't he? I like that line because you realize later that he is acting (frowning, then smiling) for the benefit of the lesson. A fun read, and a nice reminder for my own untidy corners ; )

This is such a well-crafted story that I had to smile at the outcome. I like the light and lively way you tell it, and the difference between Miss Higgledy Piggledy and her brother Smart Pants. Of course he deceived her, but, oh well, he was clever wasn't he? It was fun to read. Jmort
