You show in this section that you have done a lot of research. It is a great way to get some information out about what kind of killers there are and how they differ.
I know Charlie asked the question, "How do you know all this?" I find it is still a good question. Undoubtedly James had to do a lot of research. It is not clear why that was not recognized.
I missed this chapter and the next. I have already enjoyed the last offering, but I had to go back to fill in the gaps.

James is a voracious reader (something I mentioned in an earlier chapter) and even he admits he's not sure where all his information comes from...he once tells Mac "there's a lot of stuff rattling around in my head and I am not sure where most of it comes from...." Glad you liked this one.

James still comes through
as one amazing young man. It
is almost unreal that anyone
in his position could exercise
such control however we do see
the back lash from that with his
health problems. Excellent discriptions
and equally good dialogues move this
addition to your storyline right
along. no nits or spags. Lora

'The Calm Before the Storm' is amazingly full of technical talk by James and gives important information in a helpful conversational way with Charlie. Sasha, you managed this in a creative and highly interesting way. I see no way to suggest improvement. I look forward to the STORM that follows.

This is an excellent chapter!! luv, Marie

This chapter showed us more dynamics of each character but especially the mother's and James's.

Talking to the media can be good I wouldn't thing so though as people already make their minds up in the beginning.

You are correct. They are doing it for themselves, they know that nothing they say will change anyone's mind. Glad you liked this one.

I seem to remember some of this from before. I can't imagine having someone like James as a child. He's so forthright. Well done.

My daughter's best friend in school had an IQ over 200. In the third grade she would bring home book from the library on physics and chemistry for casual reading. Yet, she was still a child. A very strange and complicated combination. It was very hard for her to make friends, she was smart but her social skills were lacking. It was just so hard for her to relate to children her own age. For some reason she and my daughter got past that and have been life long friends. I personally would not want a child that smart, nor would I want to be that smart. This portion of the book has only minor changes, the major changes are coming in the next few chapters.

Sasha,
I think James understands the mind of a serial killer as well as anyone can. The story is gaining momentum and certainly keeps my interest. About thirty years ago, my brother was an investigator on a murder case, which Henry Lee Lucas confessed to committing. My brother had already concluded that Lucas was not in the area at the time of the killing. When he interviewed Lucas, he admitted that he had not committed the murder. As you know, Lucas confessed to many murders he did not commit. James is right they like the control.

One thing is for certain, they are unpredictable.

Lucas did kill may people but he toyed with the police by confessing to as many murders as he could...and why not? As long as he kept confessing he got pretty good treatment, traveled all over the country, good food, and lots of attention. Thanks so much for the generous review and awesome 6 stars. I sincerely appreciate it.

Great story telling in this piece. You've managed to keep a nice sentence structure while keeping a solid brevity in your lines. This allows the reader's mind and eyes to breath with the piece making this an enjoyable read. Sean

I can't wait for more I've enjoyed this story from the jump and I am ecited to see what else happens as it unfolds you have a gem I think and it is a great perspective because people are judgemental from the outside looking in but fail to think what would happen if they were in this predicament. I love this kind of stuff so i will be following it SG.

I am so pleased you are enjoying this. There will be lots of twists and turns as the story progresses. I just hope the reader remembers this is a story about the family and not the father, although he clearly has a major role in this.

Your use of comedic release when James is nervous is perfect. It keeps his character consistant. We see him doing this whenever he is under stress. Your research is extensive and adds interest to the book. Another great chapter

I am glad you recognize his humor as a release for stress (something I also do). Some say he should be more serious. I am thrilled you continue to follow this and are enjoying it.
