Thanks for the kick in the pants. After a week of being almost universally fawned over--and that is thrilling, I admit--I feel at last ready to get to work. I've finally figured out (sort of) how to promote my work, and how to restrain my enthusiasm for displaying new pieces. I am now ready to talk "writer" with some of you whose work I admire and who seem to have it together. It's time to pay for the paper and ink I use. Instruct me, please. N.K. (Nancy)

Everything! I haven't done a thing with my stuff and I either need t treat it like a pastime or look for ways to be recognized in mainstream. How? Well, I think writing for regional papers is a good start. Doing some newsletters gratis. Talking to printers that specialize in catering to serious publications. Wouldn't have a clue how to find a literary agent, but I think I will put some serious effort into that goal in January. No further ahead then you.

This is a really well written nice little piece. Christmas isa very emotional time. it dredges up a lot memories. some good some bad. it specially hard to lose someone you love at this time.

I think maybe Spiritual Echo is an appropriate name for you in here. I came to this site because I was tired of wimping out and never committing to put words on paper. I have written some freaky stuff and maybe have had a nano second of something remotely profound...but what you have written here stops me dead and makes me think.
