I really like how you described wisdom and beauty.
This poem fits the rules of a nanni well.
My favorite part is
Each crease chronicles a story
Good luck!

Oh thank you so much Summer - I'm so glad you enjoyed this one - respecting our elderly is something that I feel strongly about, and sadly something that isn't always the case nowadays. I appreciate your kind words and good wishes very much.

The beauty of old age is so often ignored. But you are quite right, wrinkles and scars tell their own story. This is very good writing that also carries an inspirational message. Wonderful picture and color scheme. I like the way the golden background reflects a glow on the face, just as you describe in your poem.
Good luck in the contest.

thank you so much juliajames - sometimes it makes me sad that there are so many of our elderly that are often ignored and treated disrespectfully, when in fact, they can and do teach us so much. I appreciate your very kind words and good wishes very much.

Very nicely said, a very nice positive view of aging in this little Naani poem. The picture enhances your words and I especially like the line "Each crease chronicles a story." Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest. JP

thanks jp - I wanted to write something about the real "beauty" of our elderly - something which sometimes I think gets overlooked in this world that is obsessed with youth and outer beauty. Thank you for your very kind comments and good wishes.

My pleasure! Love the elderly and wish our society would value their wisdom and stories more. :) Cheers, JP

I know JP - I feel the same way - it's heartbreaking to me to see how so many older adults are treated so shabbily. Thank you once again.

thank you SOOOO much Sharon - I'm so glad you enjoyed this one and it made sense to you. A topic that I feel strongly about, since I believe that we sometimes overlook our elderly and dismiss them, when the opposite should be true, we can learn so much from them. Thanks again for your very encouraging words.

It is shameful how we view the aged as a society.

I couldn't agree more - it breaks my heart - and it seems our country is one of the biggest offenders - I know in Europe it is so different. Thanks again so much.

oh thanks Linda (I value your words). So glad you liked this one, as this subject in particular is very dear to me. I wish everyone would value our elderly more, instead of so many times, dismissing them. We can all learn so much. Thanks again for your very kind words.
