so very true and hope ring loud from this poem. Nice job. And I wanted you to know that I have not had time to work on my task as of yet. I'm running out of time too, as next week I will be baby sitting two of my grandkids. while their mom goes back to work.

Sue - This is the easiest $1.06 I have ever earned. LOL. Nice poem with a good metaphor. The first writing contest I won on FS used 12 words. You may do it with 12 syllables. Good job. Charlie
PS - My 12 word story:
Mommas love their bouncy baby boys.
Soldiers die overseas, breaking mothers' hearts.

Nice I hope you won the contest. A consistency you missed was that each line contains the same number of vowels. Eight. Nice poem anyway you look at it. A fine use of words.

I really like this, because it seems that hope really does always return, no matter how long it was missing.....great presentation, I enjoyed this very much!
