From the heart of a proud mother!!!
Enjoyed reading it. It portrays a lovely picture of twin toddlers playing with each other, being naughty with each other, growing up together, and the challenges they bring to their mom along the way.
Lovely mother too!

I appreciate you realizing that I was proud of my babies and I realized the trouble they got into was typical for kids that age. I wasn't the least bit sorry that I had them. i think some people through I was very unhappy and was complaining. I find all they put me through to be some of my best memories.

And the saga continues! Since I am a twin, I found this chapter pretty entertaining. My mother told me of us throwing our bottles out just to hear them splash. We were weaned quickly, since it was just after the war and money was too precious to spend on bottles that would quickly get broken. Sounds like you had a busy time of it. Our neighbors had twin girls and they were climbers..one day I went over and they were each on a bookcase on either side of the fireplace. But they survived, as did yours and your older child. And by the way, my sister who is two and a half years older, also thought therapy was the answer to her terrible childhood. Great work. I will keep up.

Thank you for a great review and for sharing your experience as a twin with me. I think all kids go through a stage of thinking they childhood was worse than that of their peers. Sometimes they later realize they had things better than most. Beth

You are so welcome. Joyce and I "switched" on dates twice. Fun.

Oh, my... the fun times of being a mother of three at that age.
This was sooooo funny. And the 'rings of truth' sounded loud.
Well done!

I wish I had a six for you on this one, Beth. This is a very well written account of your life with three babies close together. I love your metaphors, and especially like this "This child was preparing for a career at the top and was quite capable of finding plenty of objects that would support his weight on the way up." I had my children close together too, but never more than two in diapers at the same time. I don't know how you managed. Thanks for sharing. Have a Merry Christmas.

Thank you Judy. I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. It was an interesting experience for me, but I had fun with them too. It was good to have them near the same age. Connie came ten years later and she almost grew up like a only child.

I hate to keep taking off bc of the double spacing but it does make it hard to read and differentiate when a paragraph begins and ends;-) I'm going to not take off for it bc the story is well written and well thought out!
Thank you for sharing and may God bless you and your family this Christmas;-)

I wrote this when I was just getting use to the advanced format. I didn't double space except at the end of the paragraph but the font and setup does make it look as though I did. Thank for another review. I hope you got a chuckle from my adventures with three babies.

Don't worry my wife worked almost full time during the children's infancy. (Not in the first row years of their lives) we found a marvellous lady who loved them like their own, and we'd pick the, after work. Elaine has always been a great mum, and the girls appreciate her today, but with Bec down here, the two girls will have a girly day out and leave Elaine to look after a horde of energetic boys, Indah goes with her mum and aunt, well done Beth, blessings Roy

Wow! Quite a lot of activity in your house. I remember those days of cloth diapers, and if I were having babies today, I would still prefer them. Before we had a dryer, hanging them out in the winter was useless because they would freeze and then melt all over the floor when brought in.

Thank your for the review and comments. On bad days we dried them over the floor furnace but there was always a stack of wet one awaiting their turn.

I love it Beth, I absolutely do. I had to laugh quite a few times, you described it that well. What a handful they must have been. I can certainly understand you opted for child care and felt you were a much better mum when you returned from work. I really enjoy this, as you well know. Ulla:)))

Thank Ulla. That is what I wanted you to do was laugh. I so glad you enjoyed the story. I didn't find it all that funny back when it was happening but I can laugh about it now.

I bet you weren't laughing back then. Merry Christmas, 😊😊

I can't imagine having twins and a toddler under two at the same time. It sounds like non-stop, round the clock action that had to be almost impossible to keep up with. LOL. Merry Christmas!
