The Faith of a Little Child
A true story that happened with my children.30 total reviews

Good story. Children's faith is so amazing and besides nurturing it, we need to share it with them. As we get older we all become a little cynical and blinded by what we call reality. A little of a child's faith could make such a big difference in our lives.

Thank you for reading that story and for you kind comments. We do become a bit cynical as we age. I would love to have that total child-like faith again.

A true story written with great talent. "His ways are not our ways" but the real and pure faith help us to go on His way and He helps us.

A wonderful story. Well written and the descriptions and dialogue are great. Good detail.
Faith, karma, fate - call it what you will, but God is controlling things. It's nice to know there's a safety net.

This is a wonderful message of faith.
Your story is strongly written, with great details that make it so easy to follow.
Favorite lines --
is anything more important than nourishing the faith of a little child and encouraging that tender blossoming trust to grow.
-- THIS is what faith is about... and why He watches over even the sparrow.
Very very well done.

That is such a God story - thank you for sharing it. It flows well and kept my interest. I wanted to know how it was going to pan out - an intriguing read.
A couple of minor suggestions you might like to consider -
Paragraph 8 - might flow better if you added the word 'that'
They knew from his tone of voice, [that] everything was well
Paragraph 34
Maybe you don't need 'sort out' and 'unravel' - tautology maybe?
Questions tumbled from my husband and I as we tried to [sort out and] unravel what had happened
An interesting read - thank you

Throughout this piece I found myself engaged in the story. I myself am a twin, and maybe that had something to do with it, but moreso, the theme of your story was carried so eloquently. I especially liked the end when you wrote, "...I wonder, if in the eyes of God, there is anything more important than nourishing the faith of a little child..." Way to bring it home strong and what an amazing story! I love how God works in mysterious ways and keeps us hanging onto Him.

This is an amzing piece, I really loved reading it.
This sentence feels a bit akward:
"I sighed, wishing that I had someone who could keep them."
It kind of sounded like you didn't want them. Other than that I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Thank you so much for reading and comments. Thanks for telling me about the sentence you didn't think sounded right. Of course, I meant someone to look after then so they wouldn't have to make the boring trip but I see what you mean.

Yes, He certinly works in mysterious ways, doesn't He? His love is so great that we tiny humans simply cannot comprehend His ways.
