Sue, this is a wonderful description of depression and I'm so sorry that you've been feeling like this. Your rhyme scheme is interesting and works really well. I like this form - has it a name? Great job.
Warm regards.

You sure painted a true picture of depression. I should know. You used all the right words and metaphor. The language is lovely. I know how it feels to be blind as seen by others. This is a masterful piece of work. Sincerely, Delora

It was a nice writing but it does not truly relate the hoplessness and utter dispair that comes from depression. This was good but you may wish to rework this to go deep enough to show how encompassing depression can be and how it swallows you from the inside out and you do not know which direction to go. Believe me I know

Depression. I know I have experienced it in the past and it is not one I'd want to experience again. It really stops one from seeing the many other great things around one.
Much love,

This was well constructed. I like your rhyming scheme and the last line being independent. You painted such a good picture of the miserable feeling of depression. Very good job.

What a terribly lightless affliction melancholy is. It is something I think us mortals have to fend off now and then because we know too much and at the same time, too little. So many things can affect our feelings. I know very few people who have not suffered depression at some time or other. Excellently thoughtful poem. I particularly enjoyed the rhyme scheme in this one. It is very effective in making a point and also eases the transition from one verse to the next. Bravo. Blessings, Linda

Hi There
This one really strikes a chord with me.
I've been to that terrible place too many times - it really is a blight.
And I'm still learning that I have to accept it as a part of who I am.
Cheers
Chris

This is a very good description of depression. I like the imagery you use. I like the flow the poem has, and your rhyming scheme. I like the picture.

Hey Sue,
Yeah, depression can be a bitch! I like how you wrote this, an interesting rhyme scheme. Very nice. And it's true when one's depressed nothing else matters.
Thank you for sharing this wonderfully depressing poem with us! lol

It's such a bitch, that I haven't been any good at responding to reviews. Something called "procrastination"! Glad you liked this wonderfully depressing piece of crap! Ha! Thanks for your review. :-)) Sue

Sue - This is one of your darker poems. I not sure if I understood all the metaphors but it is interesting. Not one of favorites of yours but I enjoyed it. Charlie
