Achieving goals. It might not be climbing Mt. Everest, but one of my personal goals is to finish my degree. Though jumping out of an airplane, or off a mountain...not really something on my list. ;) Nice job on this!

I was sooooo impressed until your couplet! lol So are saying, no one's challenges are as huge as they might seem (read your examples) and face your individual life challenges head on with any hopes of succeeding? Otherwise, you kind of lost me.

This is wonderful... filled with images of great thrills, great successes, and yes, freedom.
Your poem captures the magic, is well written, detailed, and fun to read.
Have you done them all, or some?
Climbing Everest would have been too scary, but the others, when I was young.... maybe. LOL
Terrific choice of artwork.

Hi Sixteezkid,
I loved the picture and the message of your poem.
I especially enjoyed:
The ultimate of challenge is to brave
Mount Everest's North face, a climbers plea
So with sherpas help I did ascend
And at the apex, shouted victory
This is how I felt when I've reached the small peaks of the valley of where I live. Thanks for sharing, Chris

This is a great poem - I enjoyed reading it. It is very evocative of 'freedom'. Did you really climb Everest, or is that a dream? I love the phrase "leapt from banal to sublime" - I can feel the adrenaline rush. Flows well and no SPAG I could see. :)

Okay... this is wonderful! It shouts of joy and victory. But just one question...Did you REALLY climb Mt. Everest? If you did you are far braver than me!
All the best,
Julianna

Nah! Like the couplet says, "all dreams". Ha! Only thing true is that I snow ski, but also a dream about doing a double black diamond! Thanks so much for your great review and so glad you . With Regards, Sue i

This is lovely. What a spirit you have! I really enjoyed the imagery of the different dreams you have. Don't ever give up on your dreams. They are what keeps us alive! Good job

very uplifting and a great message within the work as we don't really know for certain if it is your dreams or dreams you accomplished, .eithere is good but leaving the question is even better. does the iambic form require the "back" in look back on my tracks. i thought it read better as "looked on my tracks".

Have to have 10 syllables in each line. And the word "back" is an "unstressed" syllable, so that fits in with the iambics. When one ski's, it sure is fun to look back on the tracks you leave. To see how good your turns were. Thanks so much for your great review and am glad you enjoyed it. Much appreciated, Sue

Sounds like an adventure. Loved the imagery and feel of this poem. It is well construted and the meter is perfect. Nothing to dislike or change.
