That's beautiful, Sue. I really enjoyed the imagery, and the sense of anticipation. It would be helpful if you could put the contest requirements in your Author Notes. Is this the one where you can't actually use the word 'love'? You've done a great job of saying 'love' without actually spelling it out. Good luck with it. :)

Short, very sweet, and excellent double meaning romantic message, Sue. A joint effort with each partner contributing in a different way, to eventually reap loving rewards. Nice one, Ray xx

This is quite clever Sue, you have made good use of your few words and produced a rather heart warming love poem, makes my heart beat to a different rhythm, a smother soothing one, very nice friend, good luck!

If "In Our Garden" doesn't win you the contest, there's no justice in the world, LOL. This is beautiful. Very heart warming to read. It touched me. Well done. Bravo! And good luck.

It was 78 degrees here today and I had two herons and a baby egret with mom or dad can't tell sex. Lovely day to be alive. Great beauty in the color or the art and your words. joan marie

So happy to hear your great mood today, Joan Marie! "A lovely day to be alive" - sounds wonderful. You sure are at your best being around all the critters of the world, aren't you? Thanks so much for your review. Yours, Sue

If I had it to do again, I would be a Diane Fossey or someone who worked only with animals. Now that it is warming up, I will go back to Humane society and volunteer. I was a Mutt Strutter, dog walker, It is very rewarding and I never thought I could do it without my heartbreaking for all the dogs but they have a safe place and quite a bit of room and lots of people that come and just pet them. The cats who can are running around playing. There is a rocking chair for petting. Of course I want to take them all home. But at least they are warm, feed and safe. I got my two. A Tisket, A Tasket is one of my rescued babies. Couldn't seperate the brothers so took them both. jm

Your poem is short, sweet and has a strong message. I love simplicity in poetry and your poem definitely ranked high on my list of short and sweet. The artwork was perfect for the poem.

You have captured the reverence that we need to hold love with in just a few perfect words. I think the absolute best word here is "Anticipating"

Thanks so much for saying which was your favorite word. One of the joys of a relationship is the anticipation of so much; no matter how small. Thank you for your very kind review and comments. Always, Sue
