I think it's a real senyru, which near as I can tell is a haiku with people in it! :-) love the alliteration in the first line and the nice touch of lazy r and the last line is a good separate satori - Reggie must have loved this with the cowboy stuff and all

Just had to write it for him. Tease him about converting him over to metered rhyme and haiku! HA! Had to write something with a western take on it, of course. Thanks for the review, Brooke. :-) Sue

I'm not an expert on Haiku but this one strikes a chord. Love anything western and you have a beautiful presentation with the photo and color mood. Very good.

It's a real haiku cuz, just not a perfect one! The imagery is really nice and the kigo and satori are very good. You conveyed the message well in the format and the pic is perfect.
5 stars, no arguing.

Are we on a Haiku binge friend? two in a row within hours of each other, I do have a soft spot for the cowboy, it's a boy thing ! Loved the artwork, you fused words the two together nicely, well done!

Yeah, just got hooked up to some real good sheet, man. Got my haiku drip locked and loaded. Had to write this for Reggie. With his western talk in his books, teasing him about his "feeble mind", etc. LOL!! Spend $2.00 and go join my 'naani' contest. It's for a humorous or ironic little ditty. Suc

How could I not respond to this? Herefords and hot-iron brands on a western ranch. It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks.

Ha! I knew you'd like this, too, Duane! I've been trying to convert Reg into being a haiku writer! LOL!!! To get him started, I penned this for him. HA!! You ole cowhand, you....Sue

I like haiku poems. I just can not write them -- not yet anyway. My mind has a hard time trying to come up and stay within what a Haiku is. I like this.

Hey Paradox, believe me...it takes awhile and a lot of reading about it. Then comes the practice and then utter failure! HA! I'm STILL learning. That's how tricky the dang things are. Thanks very much for your review. So glad you liked it! Sue

Ouch!! I know it's necessary for the cattle industry but people are doing it to themselves now. We grow and new things become the norm. Great read. joan marie

Good picture, good message. As for ole Reggie, I suspect he would rather be branding criminals. I think I read some place Haiku deals with nature. My first attempt at Haiku dealt with Obama and Bush. Ah, well, isn't that human nature?????

Yeah, he loves to nab them bad guys. But, had to appeal to his Texan Ranger spirit to try and convert him into writing a haiku! HA!! Thanks for your review. Sue

OMG

Wow, what a shock. Its alright, however. I can make room in my book for a character named Sue. Heck, Johnny Cash even named a song for a boy named Sue. lol

Of course, I know you don't like to read long stories, so you'll probably miss that chapter. That's alright also, my friend. Bad things?well, they just seem to happen to the female characters in my stories. lol

Thank you for doing this for me, Sue. It is such an honor, especially from one as gifted as you, my friend. Thanks so much.

Reggie

Reg, my friend...feel free to have some man do me wrong. Just make sure roses are put on my grave. HA! I loved writing this. Makes me want to be a cowgirl, working long, hard days - and when we're all through, have long yarns about how that steer went rogue for a bit, 'til we got the best of him (after he nearly got the best of us!) I reckon I'll mosey on over to the fire soon. See ya there. Sue
