Oh, there's nothing like the electrified atmosphere of a rock concert! I think you captured it really well and it works lovely in nonet form.
Good luck!

I have never been to a rock concert. Sound like a lot of fun.
I liked every word you have written and good luck for the contest.

You describe well the anticipation and experience of a rock music concert. Excellent execution of form. The centering works well. There's a nice locale reference in the first line.

Yes! Pearl Jam was one of my son's favorite bands. He'd love this one. You did a nice job of telling the story of the excitement of a live performance! Good luck.

Pearl Jam! I love them but have not seen them live - on the other hand, my two children have seen them many times - every time it is at all possible - my daughter has traveled a few hundred miles a couple times. She actually dreams about Eddie Vedder. LOL What a great nonet story :-) Brooke

Mornin, Sue.
Perfect shape - I bet that took some fiddling ta get it just so.
I didn't think you Yanks had heard of our great game of cricket. It seems maybe you use all the sacred pitches ta hold rock concerts on, LOL. Oh well, they can be fun, too, though I never heard of 'Pearl Jam'. Sounds a bit hard ta spread on toast, LOL!
Excellent Nonet. Good luck and best wishes, Ray xx

Still busy I see, I'm glad I had a quick look see, because I do fancy a crack at this style, so once again I must thank you Sue. I loved your little entree and it reminded me of the Ragga Muffin concert I went to last year, an all day affair, Maxi Priest, The Wailers and UB-40 to name but a few. I think you captured the anticipation at a concert very well. Good Luck!

Hey Hitch! So good to hear from you! Well, I didn't want to write about anything deep on this one. Love to write little ditties in those nonets. Sign up! Would love to see what you write. Happy new Year to you, Hitch. :-)) Sue

Yeah, music is an essential part of my life! And rock concerts are a big part of it. Pearl Jam will go down in history along with Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Fantastic musicians. Always loved seeing them. Thanks so much for your very generous review! Cheers :-)) Sue

I don't even know exactly what a nonet is. But, I suppose it must have to do with the nine lines. Really a very clever and apt arrangement. You'd think it would be almost impossible to say anything comprehensible and entertaining while arranging words in an inverse pyramid, but you succeeded wonderfully. Congratulations!

These contests REALLY make you work. And that's why I love entering them. To have that confinement to a format really makes you work to hone for the right words. Thanks so much for your most generous review and awesome remarks!! Regards, Sue

P.S. for some reason, two of the rules for this contest was no image and no author's notes, so didn't mean to leave out the comments and description of the Nonet. Just following the rules!
