Don't mind me. Just looking around. I am going through some of the better poets on this site's first post and looking to see if they have improved since their arrival. This is a very wistful poem. Peace sweet peace. I like it, but I do think you have gotten better. Hope you don't mind me snooping. :) Sam

sometimes when you want to feel and hold onto peace you have to not only put your mind into it you have to put your heat and body into it as well. i felt that with the words you used you described this perfectly and i look forward to reading more.

Well, that was truly lovely! I was there ..beautiful summers day; birds singing; peaceful walk on an English afternoon, Are you English? (haven't looked at your profile) because you have captured a walk in the woods on a Sunday afternoon in Summer in England! the 'peace sweet peace' enhances this poem alot.
Lovely
All the best

Nicollette, So glad you did enjoy my poem! And that you took away from it the beauty we all need in our minds. Your generous review is most appreciated. Kindest regards, Sue (no, not English, but LOVE it there!)

Hello 6teezkid,
I truly enjoyed this poem. I am sure that many will relate to and enjoy the serene fee3ings expressed in this poem. I particularly liked the following lines as I have found it to be true of myself:
Stumbled upon in the rarest of
Moments when not sought
(how precious and few are those moments.
however, they are locked into our memories, forevermore.)
This was a soft and delicate poem - a pleasure (treasure) to read. Regards, LateBloomer

You have penned a lovely poem here. I know I long to have that inner peace in my life. Just seems to be out of reach. This poem flowed wonderfully and read real well.

I really do like the repetive, "peace, sweet peace." It added a rich flavor to this work. I'm glad I happened acrossed it this morning.

So glad you commented on the repetition. It has a 50/50 consensus on that! Ha! I really need to keep it there for myself, though. Thank you very much for your generous review and comments! Much appreciated, Sue

Another well-crafted piece of literature. Full of emotion, one grasps the importance of you expressing the need to find peace to add balance to life.
Take the time to smell the flowers sort-of-thing.
Good work!

Hi, 6teezkid. Your poem evokes so much peace and tranquility I am considering using the last stanza as my epitaph. I will give proper acknowledgement, of course. But joking aside your words combined are like a mantra in a meditation exercise - it lulls one into a higher level of tranquility. And the illustration perfectly encapsulates the message of the poem. More power to you.

A wonderful moment captured and a great way to remind us all to stop and smell the flowers as they say in cliche. Yours is definitely not cliche, it's very well done. It moves well and is quite a beautiful expression of enjoyment in a quiet moment.
