That is a nice insect haiku. Butterflies are beautiful graceful creatures created by God for us to enjoy. They do morph from caterpillars, as is illustrated by the picture you have shared. Evi

    Evi,

Thank you for the wonderful review. Caterpillars are ugly little creatures, but they morph into a beautiful butterfly.

A lovely "insect Haiku" entry. Your 5-7-5 lines perfectly describe this wonder of nature. That something so homely can becomes beautiful
is wonderful. Good luck.

I used to collect caterpillars (obsessively) and then horrified my sister when they 'grew wings' in her bedroom! A stunning image skilfully complemented with your succinct 5-7-5 verse. Well done, Cecilia. Take care Debbie

    Debbie,

Thank you for the wonderful review. You had a little mean streak did ya. I bet your sister wanted to throttle you.

This is very well done for the haiku club about insects and I wish you the very best with the writing. It is a marvel what God does using the caterpillar to become a beautiful butterfly that just tells me. Patricia.

I love the beauty of your poem! The way you captured the transformation of the caterpillar into a butterfly in just a few lines is so well done. For me it's a reminder of how change can bring something beautiful for everyone to enjoy. Great job!

Oh, you're also going to join with Patricia in writing butterfly poems? She writes one regularly. I love that the butterfly reminds me of the radical changes we will go through we we leave this world and change from our mortal bodies to our spiritual ones!

What about the flowers? They suck the life out of the flowers! You're so insensitive. What is wrong with humanity? Cecilia, you had such promise, and then this. We are poets, not psychopaths. I love that image of the stages. It's cool from a distance, but I ain't touching a bug with anything but my shoe.

    Eean,

Thank you for the wonderful review. You are funny my friend. The butterfly is the only bug I will pick up. The rest of them not so much. They are good for the flowers. They help cross pollinate.

Like a deadbeat dad, impregnate then leave. How many other butterflies does that flower call daddy?

Excellent haiku on the life cycle of a butterfly. And a lovely monarch butterfly too. Their life cycle is amazing and we use so many pesticides that sadly there are fewer of them every year.

Nicely done. Blessings
Janet

    Janet,

Thank you for the wonderful review. It is sad that we use pesticide to kill other pest and the butterfly becomes an innocent victim of it. I try not to use pesticide on my flower garden.
