I really enjoyed this poem.
It is romantic and well phrased.
I have to ask, as I have never been there.
Are the sands really that colour or is it a trick of the sunset casting that hue on the beach. Or is the photo just colour corrected.
Whichever, it is beautiful.

Tim,
Thank you for a great review. Yes, the beaches in Bermuda are pink in color.
Bermuda's Pink Sand Beaches
Bermuda's shoreline is known for its carpet of soft pink sand beaches that ranges in color from blush to coral. Its beach sand is not volcanic but from finely pulverized remains of calcium carbonate shells and skeletons of invertebrates such as corals, clams, forams and other shells.
The pink sand is made of red-shelled Foraminifera, bits of coral, and crushed shell mixing with regular sand. Off the shore of Bermuda, tiny single-celled dark red organisms (Foraminifera), in particular, homotrema rubrum - or forams - grow on the underside of the coral reefs. When these organisms die, they fall to the ocean floor and mix with bits of coral and crushed shell. Wave action erodes the forams. They become mixed with other debris on the seabed such as the white shells of clams, snails and sea urchins. It is at that time that Bermuda's white sand takes on its characteristic pink hue.
The sand turns pink when the delicate hues of the tiny broken seashells mixed with soft white sand washes onto the beach. Over time the pink sand pushes up the beach through the pounding of waves, and the sun bleaching the color. The most vivid shades of pink sand are near the water's edge complemented by turquoise waves breaking along the shore.
All the best,
BB50

Your poem is so beautifully written! I love how the poem flows like the waves you describe! The tides washing away doubt is so powerful. I think that really captures the strength of love. That last stanza is absolutely stunning! This was a joy to read!
