Hello Barbara,
I always like to read about different snippets of your life. I grew up in Ohio, and we used to get tornadoes, but where we were, they never seemed to touch down, fortunately. I'm glad you all were spared. Lord knows many aren't, and we need to all step up to the plate and assist them as much as we can. We never know when disaster might visit us. Well done gal. Have a blessed evening.
Tom

I had another subject I was going to write about tomorrow, but after talking to Andrew and his family Sunday, I've changed it. Friday, they had 6 tornados in their area. I think you'll enjoy this story. As Andrew has said, "Two little girls, parents who work full time and a puppy what could go wrong. A LOT. Thank you for the support.

I laughed reading this: "He has often mentioned that he thinks I brought home the wrong baby from the hospital, because there's no way I gave birth to him. He's a point A to point B type of person. I'll make it to point B, but I may stop and visit C and maybe D before getting to B." and also laughed thinking that even Mother Nature didn't dare to mess with your son's routine.

It sounds like you have a very busy household Barbara and the little girl and dog in the picture both look totally exhausted! I'm glad the tornado missed you too. I enjoyed the snippet of your life here, love Dolly x

I think most parents wonder how their children can be so different, mine are. I never experienced a tornado.... it must be scary. Thank you for sharing your life stories.

Well done!

I am a witness that some traits may skip a generation or two, especially when it involves more than one child. On my mother's side of the family I have a male cousin who's birthday comes one day before mine, although we are separated by four years. We were both adults when I discovered that he has an excellent singing voice. He and I are as far as I know the only two. On my father's side of the family I and one of my cousins son's are the only two who inherited the singing and writing gene. Inherited genes are a funny, funny thing, I tell you.

You captured that moment of suspense and tension when your daily routine is interrupted by a tornado warning. Watching the wind rise, the sky go green; it is nerve wracking, especially when you have little kids around you are responsible for. I've had a few of these go right by my house here and it is never fun waiting it out. Sometimes it's the microbursts that get to you. I'm also a lot like your son; a bit compulsive, I hate to have my routine interrupted. But sometimes there's no choice. estory

I have long supported
The policy of wearing out kids and pets. Especially with six of them. It has made evenings more peaceful! Ha!

Sounds to me that you went right, not wrong. None is prison is pretty much a success in modern day America.

Fun read.

Thank you for understanding. My boys played outside all the time. I do believe children need to be outside breathing fresh air, being creative, and learning while they're doing it. I so miss your writing.

So you were lucky that year because the tornado didn't touch your place I am impressed by Andrew who didn't want to upset girls routine. Very often children become better persons

Everyone in families has their own quirks and uniqueness and one often wonders how kids can be so different from their parents and from wach other. Thanks for the insight into your family life during a tornado.

I'm the one watches the storm and my husband sends the kids downstairs. You were very lucky as the tornadoes have been worse along the Mississippi for the last few years. Your son does sound like the exact opposite of you, but then writers can't be too rigid, we'd break.

LOL Thank you for the kind review. According to my husband, I have a silly side. Maybe why I like six-year-olds much.
