Whew! Another poor girl murdered. I like this poem because you drag the reader in to the plot. I wonder how they will unearth the truth since the murderer has lied and has passed the lineup. A true Colombo story. Waiting to read the next.

PS: I like the last minute curve-ball in telling us that the murderer had lied. Now the methods used in solving the case becomes very important.

    Hi shanbreen my friend

Those other methods come in and later chapters. The case is solved in part eight and the fate of the murderer is disclosed in part nine.

    Thanks for the great review

Somehow I missed some earlier parts. (My bad.) However, this story is so well constructed, that I am able to pick right up and continue. My admiration for the use of such modern tech as DNA is completely joyful. As a father of two females and grandfather to one additional females, I would certainly hope that there will be a successful conviction of the monster.

So, you're a girl, dad. Congratulations. I think anyone in a small town where there is a serial killer would like to see that person dead. I don't agree with mob violence but I wanted to find some way to get justice for the victims

    Thanks for the great review

Finally some DNA. And some sketches that may prove pivotal.
Good job on that bit of definitive evidence, Pam.
Now they just have to find the man to match the evidence.
Tim x

Thank you Tim for following this story. You were one of few who did. Most did not even open the post if they saw Kirby case in the title.

    I appreciate this wonderful review

This work has reached the exceptional level

This story keeps on getting better, I really like the way you introduce a few tit bits, without giving, in other words enticing the reader to read o, very well written****kahpot

Thank you for clarifying that the fourth victim was Carol Pews, and that she'd been introduced in the fifth chapter--which, of course, I went back to immediately to refresh my memory.

When any story I see on the news is accompanied by a clear picture of the suspect taken by a street or doorbell camera, my immediate reaction is, "They've got him now," as there's always someone who will identify a clear picture (as the capture of the man who shot the United Healthcare CEO showed). I had that same reaction to the sketch they have in your story of the suspected killer, further proof that this reads like a real news story (albeit one in verse), and is just as involving. That's not an easy feat, when you don't have the benefit of visuals, but you're doing a great job of creating the visuals through your words.

Thank you Michele for your usual thorough and encouraging review. And yes, the longer the poem is the harder it is to keep track of previous facts so as not to counter them later in the poem.

Thanks for the beautiful and stellar review

Because of her fight, the fourth girl gave the detectives DNA which moved the case further. The clues and investigative techniques seem like a real murder mystery, full of suspense, excitement, and increased tension. I'm on my way to the next chapter.

I think I may have read these in the wrong order, never mind, the outcome is the same. DNA always clinches it as no two people have the same DNA and a perfect match brings success. This has been an epic task as you have told your story in rhyme and entertained us Pam, love Dolly x

Good move, we now may nail the creep who would do such a thing to poor innocent girls. Glad this is a story poem and not real. Thanks again for sharing you talent. Good post.

This poem, The Kirby Case Part 7, brings in a suspect who has hit all the buzzers for being the culprit they have sought for so long. He seems to be the one.
