This is a good cat and mouse scene. I am wondering why though. What in it for Grayson. It seems he had several opportunities to kill Dane, since he somehow knows who he is. Maybe that should be explained.

You have woven the suspense with your words throughout the entire chapter and kept the reader on edge, wondering what was about to unfold. Much like your recent story, you have the skill to send chills like fingernails on a chalkboard. Well done!

I really enjoyed the tension you built throughout this chapter! I really like how you set up Alex's sense of unease. The phrases like "You're not the first, Dane. But you might be the last" really added to that tension! I'm definitely curious to see what happens next! Keep up the great work!
