Thanks for sharing the notes and story, Charles. Hope you are better soon. You did a good job describing giving an overview of Charlie and how he and Hazel plan to marry. It sounds like they would be a good match. I guess there was a minor problem with the change from wildflowers to roses, but it was easily taken care of.
It is good that people can have a positive attitude, like the Pastor saying that green grass is growing, replacing what had been burned by the wild fire, and that was a good thing.
You end the story well, but unfortunately the towns people might be in for some unwonted visitors. Take care and be well soon.

As Roosevelt often said: "speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far." So, I'm sure if you're packing a shotgun with a mean look on your face, you might go even farther. But faith will take you even farther than either. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to you, and I hope 2025 is your Best New Year Ever!

Charles,
This is a wonderful story. I am coming into the middle of it, but it is easy enough to pick up. This story is well organized and flows nicely from beginning to end.

I am out of sixes, but you know I would have given you one for this well written piece, Chuck. You really put us into the town, we have gotten to know the people so well now. I'm hoping no harm will come to Ralph, Charlie or the town folk when and if those rough looking men come to town. That wouldn't finish my year off well!!! Well done, my dear friend. Love you lots. Have a great 2025! Sandy xxxx
