Loved the way, you have depicted so much in three lines. The last line is so telling-- the farewell kiss of a Father who knew his son was going to be crucified. Well written, Yvette.

Thanx so much for your review on this one -- it was surprising to read that the message of the final line was a complete mystery to some, but it is what it is! ;) :) Take care out there and have a Wonderful Wednesday!! ;) Yvette

The picture is sweet and the poetry is well done. Another overcast day here. My back and legs are screaming. They won't let me write a new story. Rude things. I am bringing Star Trek DS9 this week. There are at least 5 more series after this one. Love to you and yours. Karen

There are so many human tragedies about life, but surely on of the worst is a child being deserted at birth, or shortly after, the greater gift one can have is a child to nurture and love. Good luck, Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Strong words, had deep, lasting feelings of when I first saw my babies, many years ago, now grandchildren, A gift given to us by our maker. Then the need to protect them, feed them. Cannot be taken lightly. Unsure of how to interpret the last line though.

This poem is very unique, Mystery Poet. It takes a whole new slant on the Christmas story. It shows the Father's love for all of us, and His feelings when He sent His Son to earth. It's brilliant and Poignant. Thanks for sharing, and best of luck in the contest,
Rhonda

But, the message was the biggest part, besides the adorable baby picture!!

This is lovely 5-7-5 Christmas poem. You nailed it with the picture of the baby in the manger. It compliments this poem nicely.
Well done and good luck in the contest.

Your poem is so full of emotion! The details about the newborn's innocence and the father's farewell adds a bittersweet feeling. This is such a touching and powerful piece!
