It sounds idyllic to have the comfort of your own home--away from the trappings that you've already experienced. I somehow think it has something to do with our creative minds--we need peace and tranquility to think! Well done on a great story, and thank you for sharing.

Your story reminds me of the "other man's grass being greener."
You curl up and take an uninterrupted nap, but then miss the rowdy stimuli that you subconsciously crave. Not having it gets on your nerves.
