Hello John,
congratulations on your milestone post. That's quite an accomplishment. Your mother sounds like quite a gem of a woman. I'm sorry she had to leave you so soon in your young life. Nonetheless, her example had an impact on you, and no doubt many others. Well done on your story. Good luck in the contest.
Have a blessed evening.

Thank you, Tom. My mother was such a strong person that I never really missed my dad since he and mother separated before my memory kicked in. He had a bit of a drinking problem he never could shake. Although I missed getting to do all dad things like hunting, fishing and building stuff, I wouldn't go back and change anything in my childhood. That's how much mother meant to me. I appreciate your kind words and especially the sixth star. Blessings to you, my friend.

John,
Congratulations on your two hundredth post. This was absolutely an amazing tribute to your mother. I cannot imagine a thirteen-year-old having to deal with the death of a mother. You could have gone down the wrong road, but the love your mother had for you and you for her would not allow that to happen.
Your mother sounds a lot like mine. A giving, caring, and loving mom.
I can imagine she is smiling at you. Proudly telling God, "That's my boy."

Thank you, Richard. I never envisioned making it to 100, much less 2. I think mothers are very special. And you're right; if my mother hadn't instilled in me the right values, there's no telling where I would have ended up. I appreciate your review and especially the sixth star.

I am sorry I don't have the six stars this deserves, so I sent you a small gift. This was outstanding! My parent were very good to me, but when I wanted to go to New York and be a writer, they thought I was insane. So I went to college and did so well, instead of glorifying God, I abused my freedom. Thank God, Christ still loved meand saved me.
Congratulations on your Milestone Post!

Thank you, Jim. You are way too generous with your reviews and now with your gift. Like you and most others, I've strayed from the 'narrow path' at times in my life. But the beauty of the grace of God is that when we acknowledge our sins and find our way back, Christ is always there, waiting with a forgiving smile. We worship a wonderful Lord! God bless you, my Friend.
