Well, I've got to say that this says just about all there is to say, doesn't it? :-) Well said in such a powerful acrostic, sir -- thanx so much for sharing! ;) Yvette

This is a very nice entry for the Acrostic Poetry competition. I have seen acrostics using one descriptive word per line when doing someone's name (like for a child), but I don't recall seeing one as a poetic thought. It can be a challenge. Yours is well done with a nice presentation.

This is a very nice acrostic poem. It says it all. I like the picture you chose to accompany you poem. What a sacrifice which speaks of no greater love than to lay down you life. We are truly blest.

For I believe His empathy by the power of His word. Words written in the poetry of your mind expressed so well. Each single word of promise fills the earth. God bless!

This is a very well written acrostic poem about The Gospel. You used very good descriptive words and very good imagery with your words also. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Nice! I've seen many explanations of Acrostics that point out the lines can be anything from one word to a complete sentence -- or somewhere in between. That being said, "Minimalist Acrostic" is a great explanation for what you've offered, and I can see it might make a fun contest if you are so inclined!

Ironic that the simplest explanation encompasses the most meaningful truth and foundation for our faith.

God's great that way!

Clever put together. I have not seen this form of Acrostic before so you may be an original. Love the image and thanks for sharing. All the best in the contest. Take care.

I enjoyed reading this acrostic poem. I like the words: gods own sacred promise, eternal life. This is what he promises us. Can' t wait until that happens.

Don and Vicki, this is a wonderful acrostic poem. No, I have never seen this until now. I love it! A Minimalist Acrostic, you say? Trust me, it will catch on.

The poem is beautiful, sweet and of the good news of God's Beloved (and only Begotten Son) given for us! The glad tidings of Christmas in an a acrostic poem.
Fits every heart.
Merry Christmas you two, and my best wishes for the contest.

This work has reached the exceptional level

I have entered site contests for acrostics. It can be long or short or in two parts. Yes, we do have eternal life because we have given our lives to the Lord. I don't know what I would do without Him. "And underneath are the Everlasting Arms." Blessings, K
