Truly an excellent example of meditative poetry, one that stays with us, and causes to think again and again about water, which gives us life, can give us death, and remains essential to all things.

That picture of the wave is hypnotic, Gypsy! I love this two syllables a line poem, it flows as gently as the wave above it. The sea is a relazing place to be beside. I can sit there and daydream for hours. Your words meet the wave superbly, my friend. Very well done! :)) Sandra xx

Hmm. I have to think about that one. Waves do move ceaselessly. That it doesn't have birth or life is probably dependent on one's observation. One could also view it as constant birth and death. And there's so much life in the ocean. I love the sea water!

The waves and water is a zen concept that there's no birth and death, life continues in deferent forms. The ocean and waves is a personification fir teaching purpose. Another example is the sea becomes a cloud, a cloud becomes the rain, the Rane becomes rivers and ocean..... and continues. I'm not a Buddhist but I find their religion and points of view interesting. I watch a lot of Thich Nhat Hanh videos. He is wise and funny. He died in 2022, close to 100 years old.
Thank you very much, big sister.

Beautiful words inspired by Thìch Nhat Hanh, short and sweet. I think I mentioned that my niece is Buddhist. Sometimes, she sends me quotes from his writings. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, that visual is amazing! It's equally amazing that, as you say, the sea has this omnipotent, everlasting force Thank you for sharing this powerful message in such a succinct and effective verse. A small edit 'stop(p)ing' Take care Debbie

Yes what an interesting insight into the subject of 'water' here in this poem and powerful imagery to portray it - Thich Nhat Hanh was inspirational in life
