Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading your short piece. Isolation was a tough time for many people. I love the line 'words fall short of describing my profound loneliness'. I can feel your pain. And you are right. It was like being trapped in a video game. I often feel that way about this life. And maybe we are in some advanced simulation...who knows? lol.
