-Very nice image and presentation.
-You wrote a good poem with a good topic.
-Very good opening lines establish the premise.
-A very good concluding line.
-I'm glad you have hope; in the US,
I don't have much, except for those
who will carry out their jobs with
respect and honor.
-A good entry; good luck!

Thank you for your lovely review. The political landscape is changing on both sides of the pond!
Take care and stay safe.

You are very welcome and also right about the political landscape changing. You take care, too.

We had hope for a brighter, warmer future, but the first thing Keir Starmer did was take away my winter fuel allowance. Then the electric went up and it looks like it will again! Not what he promised us. Oh, well. It doesn't matter who is in, we can only hope things will get better this time.
Your political 5-7-5 is very well done, and I wish you good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra

Thank you for your lovely review. I did in fact write to my local MP and to the PM about the reckless policy of removing the winter fuel allowance from those pensioners who do not qualify for pension credit. This was 2 months ago and still no reply from either politician.
Take care and stay safe

No, they aren't interested, are they? I'm glad you wrote, I must do the same. Not that I would fare any better than you. 🤔

This 5-7-5, Hope for the Future, has the proper formatting and sees that there may be a light at the end of the political tunnel we travel through around the world.

This poem reminds me of the U.S. Many people are hoping our future will be bright. I like the words: hope foe a new dawn. Good luck in the future.

It's interesting to have the perspective of a citizen of another country. I hope things go well under your new PM, Keir Starmer. You seem to go through quite a few of them. Wonder what Ellen DeGeneres will think of England. I've read she's planning to move there. A suggestion to you. You need more of a contrast in colors between your wording and background. The font is hard to read as it is now. You might make it larger. Try to make your presentation easy to read! judi

Have pity on my poor eyes - this feeble orange font is hard to read on your red background!
I haven't been following UK politics very closely of late, but I do already see some strong criticism of Starmer emerging. Not unexpected I guess.
Your haiku tells me he has your support and it seems it was certainly time to give Labour a go,
Good luck - in the country as well as the contest!

We are going through a significant change in our political landscape. Troubling times looming.
I agree about the difficulty in reading the font- apologies. Must try harder.
Thank you for your lovely review.
Take care.
Comment from Tim Margetts
I think political poetry is the hardest of all to write, you are always going to get cheers from a chunk of the readers and teardowns from another, but mostly, these days. Apathy.
Simple and succinct, our country desperately needed change. Is Starmer the change we need, only time will tell.

Thank you for your wise and helpful words. We are currently going through a significant change in our political landscape. It is too soon to predict the future - the jury is out!
Take care.

This is a very good political 5-7-5 poem. I don't know much of what is happening in the UK, but it sounds like you have hope for your future.
Well done and good luck in your contest

Thank you for your lovely review. Politics is a complex matter that is not easy to describe in 3 lines!
