It is actually refreshing to see that there are enough spines left among the Republican Senators to put the kibosh on the worst of his cabinet picks. Let's hope it continues and his bullying attempts fail miserably.

A couple things:
-you have a link at the beginning of your piece which both breaks the anonymity rules of the contest (if that is your profile) and increases the syllable count
-"US" in the last line would conventionally be pronounced with two syllables, because it is an acronym
-not sure what this piece is about? Trump is not President yet, and the Senate will be under Republican control when he takes office again (although it will be 53-47 probably, not a supermajority, so still subject to filibuster).
Fix the syllable counts and message me back, and I will bump up the rating.
