I withdrew from this contest because I was the only one for a while and didn't think anyone else would join. Mine was called, "He Hates my Writing."
So I am a little confused, as last time we talked you were not at all for Kamala Harris, even tho I know you don't like Trump. I think if we give him a chance he may surprise you.
But this is about your poem. I know you are feeling a little deranged when you aren't writing on meter and watching syllable counts. You are usually such a stickler for it.
But just the same I thought it was very good and as always you were very clever. Thanks for such a funny poem.. as always, you are a delight to read.

Thanks Debi! So actually, this was very much intended to mock Democrats, their senseless rabid vitriol for anything associated with Trump, and how Democrats got over their love of democracy with their ends-justifies-the-means BS while they continued to incoherently scream that word. Yet in the end it was Trump who embraced it. It's one of my messier and less coherent works partly due to the contest topic. There is actually a working meter that lands on the right accents -- but it is not obvious looking at it, as I'm borrowing and passing pickup syllables from adjacent lines. For example (I've capitalized the downbeats below):
IT was Kamala we asked
to SAVE us from the votes we'd cast --
SHE could cure our racist past
if WE would bow before her caste
QUEEN Kamala President!
dePENdency was evident:
DeMOCracy, impediment!
FLAWED and full of excrement
Although of course I voted for Harambe, I'm glad Trump won. It will be a very interesting and hopefully productive next four years. The one thing I'm really not thrilled about is the likely fate of Ukraine, but Biden has already royally screwed that up on his own, and it can only be addressed long-term with more aggressive deal enforcement and a stronger energy policy. Europe has to pay more if they want energy security.

Please don't think I was being judgmental of your meter and syllables, just noticed something was different about it. I am always appreciative of your work.
As far as what biden did with Ukraine, I think he did that to be dirty right before he left office. If I didn't already wasn't angry enough how he screwed everything up for four years, his last screw up was just plain mean. But you are right about the democrats. Sorry I didn't understand all of your poem, but I loved the parts against Kamala. But I think the funniest thing about her is she answers all ?s with , I grew up in a small town .... hahaha!

Yeah, she repeats herself a lot. Clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed. Biden has toed the line, neither really committing nor backing away. We give them weapons and then don't let them really use them. Ukraine aid is mostly an excuse to burn through old military inventory that's obsolete and the funding goes to new weapons which we ourselves will use later. That part will stay the same regardless of who is in charge : )

When finally Biden announced he was not going to run in the November elections , he said he was going it for democracy. I just laughed .
He was forced by Obama to resign full stop.
I'm surprise he isn't struck by lightning when he says he stands for democracy.
He is a corrupt bit of crap who should be in a jumpsuit behind bars for all the bribes he accepted from those rich Ukraine oligarchs when he was vice president.
Look what warmongering Biden is doing now , giving that corrupt dictator Zelensky the okay to use long range missile on Russian soil.
Those two don't care a damn about the poor people and the consequences of all this madness .
In Gaza, 14.000 children have been killed, and the rest are starving as I speak.
Their rights crushed by the IDF that are using bombs Biden provides.
Trump would never had allowed Zionist Netanyahu to go on a year long rampage.
And what about the one million abortions in 2023.
The Jews constantly remind us that we must not forget the Holocaust so to make sure it never happens again.
Yet Biden, Harris are pro abortion and the lives of Gazan children don't matter to them.
And the Democrats have the guts to say Trump is a Nazi , is Hitler.
The nation voted for Trump because among other things, he said he would stop the war in Ukraine.
That is the people's position. Stop the war.
And what does Biden do , he ignores the will of the people and goes ahead with their own destructive agenda.
That's not democracy that is acting like a dictator.

I think I'm reading this correctly. Trump is embracing Lady Justice/Demoracy and she's embracing him. The democrats have claimed to own Demoracy even going so far as to say if anyone voted for Trump they are -------------- (endless fill in the
blank) and have ushered in The Fourh Reich. Do they not see how ridiculous they've become and how opposite of Demoracy they are? Hopefully some will turn around.

We are largely in agreement and maybe the picture made this piece confusing. It was supposed to be the story of someone who loved democracy (or at least the idea of it) and abandoned it for Harris after listening to Dem propaganda. The wordplay however makes it capable of various interpretations, I suppose!
