I believe when things happen, and someone says it's a miracle, it is God giving the person the power to achieve it, like when someone lifts a car and saves a person or rescues someone. God provides us with the gift if we are willing to use it.

Roy, this is simple and easy to follow, without overly dense lines. Well done. I suggest tweaking a few little things to improve the readability:

1) Your title appears redundantly in the first line of the poem

2) but fails if one leaves all to fate. <= an imperfect rhyme with "faith"

3) As Jesus said, Earth's in your hands,
if you by faith still understands. <= "understands" should be "understand" logically, so you might consider changing the previous line to make it singular

4) there are some broken characters in your notes, probably from curved quotes

I have increased the toughness of my ratings lately and will be happy to bump this up to a five if you make an adjustment or two. Just let me know if you edit. Thanks for the read,

🦍

Well done Roy. I believe we can do what Jesus said we could. Many times I have prayed for help. Being physically useless, the answers come if we truly believe and have faith in His words. As we age, the spirit grows stronger and the body weak. I find the answers to problems come when I sit still and listen. K xx

You chose great verses to include, and your poem reflects them quite well. Yes, it's sad that we don't always exercise those gifts God gives us, by acting in faith. I'm sure we miss many opportunities to demonstrate God's power. Thanks for sharing this thoughtful poem. Carol

Most of my pastors have taught that things like raising the dead and such have gone now that we have The Bible. But I believe if we truly needed to do a deed, and it was in God's will we did it, that we would have that power.

Roy,

Another beautiful poem you have created. The love of Christ shines bright in every line. I like the line, "and only He who sets men free." This is the honest truth. Only God can set us free. All we have to do is bring him into our hearts.

Great job as usual.

Cecilia
