My goodness, you got this right, Bill. It's hard to imagine that Donnie could wiggle his way out from under all the mire, and be able to shine in the White House. Was Kamala that bad a choice? I'm flabbergasted.
Nicely put! Your poem is bang on, and hits hard.
Cheers,
Kimbob

Oh, this is so spot on. Those traits are exactly the requirements for becoming the president of the United States, or so it seems. God help us all or whoever might look out for us. Let's hope we'll all survive this. America has spoken and made their bed now they will have to lie in it and the rest of us suffer the consequences. Ulla :)))

How it affects the U.S. is one thing, but our stepping away from the rest of the world for four years will change the future for Europe.
-
Yes, you tell me. I live in Europe. If Europe doesn't do anything now, we will be free fodder for Putin. The world is mad. I never thought I would live to see history repeating itself. I fear for my three grandchildren.
-
People are chasing paychecks here. Inflation has prices high, and businesses laying people off. The blame is all on the incumbent, which is historic.
-
Well, my brother always talks about the high food prices, but no one is being laid of. On the contrary. Now food prices are high in Europe as well. But our inflation is way down, just as in the US. I'm half American, and not very proud of it at the moment.

Amen! I haven't really processed the election results yet because I can't seem to get my head around the fact that the majority of people in this country could choose this poor example of humanity--a second time! Thank you for putting it in simple words~and a perfect illustration. Well done, Bill!

I agree with you here, Bill. Politics appears to be the business of those who lack the gentleman's characters these days. It also seems to me that this past election result shows the rejection of the Democrats and not necessarily an endorsement of Trump. There was no better alternative. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Remain blessed, my good friend.

Global warming is, again, a hoax.

Bill,
Undoubtedly a vast majority of the voters - regardless of their actual vote - ascribe to your sentiments.
Your cartoon image IMHO describes Trump and his buffoonery to a 't.'!
Mark
P.S. There will be possibly some FanStorians who will rip your verse - shame on them if they do.

People were not listening when the idea that this was an important election, not just a current situation.

Well, I was confused, but I think you're right. Buckle your seatbelt. It's going to be a long, dark, bumpy ride for the next four years and I don't know what it will look like on the other end - if I'm alive to see it. All we can do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Stay well, Bill, and have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Frank

You have summed up the reality of today's world. Truth, honor and decency, the features of President's past, no longer seem to apply. Or am I just an old cynic? Brilliantly, but bravely written. I have no doubt, you'll cop heaps.

Love your poem. You have me laughing here and oh is it so true. What happened to the president having some values? Excellent use of words for those of us who are saddened by this election.

I swear to you on everything I hold to be basic, true and honest. It would appear that the majority of American voters have lost their ever loving minds, sense of decency and dare I say it, patriotism as well.

My fear now is that someone will shoot Trump and that dumbass VP will be important.
-
I say we go two for one. One shell, two targets. I do not advocate violence, but if you are going to do it anyway, make the most of it.
-
Later, as they read this back to me at my execution, I will point out that I was being 'conservative'.

You know that he cannot shut up to save his life. He was often heard saying, when it was clear he was losing, that his handlers told him to relax, he was winning. Now what do you make of that?

hehe ... I love the poem and the presentation. It's so true.
I agree with you, Bill. We are the laughing stock of the world. I have friends in England and Australia who are afraid of what will happen to us but even more, what will happen to them on the world stage. We can kiss NATO goodbye and I doubt Ukraine will get anymore aid. I can't believe over half of Americans chose a felon that can't put a cohesive sentence together and gave a blow job to a microphone at a rally. His supporters will love him no matter what he does. He could kill someone and they would still love him.
Well done!

I will need to write on other issues I guess, as my wife keeps wondering why I'm screaming.
