This is a great poem. It certainly describes jealousy to T. I think it's the worst emotion humans possess. I'm with you I'll stick with the furry ones.
They love unconditionally and they don't judge.

Great Job.

Good luck with your contest

Cecilia

Jealousy is a painful emotion, and I love how your poem describes it with military-style precision. I have experienced jealousy on a small scale, and that was horrific enough. Your poem gives me insight into jealousy at its worst. Fantastic job, and best of luck in the contest.

Thank you for the positive feedback and kind praises.

I agree with you .. my style, the words are succinct.

I would love to have a beautiful poetic style , hopefully with much practice , in time I will.

This is a very well written emotion poem about jealousy you have penned for the contest. I love to read about you and your furry gang. My husband and I have cats and we love them like our kids. All our children are grown and moved away, but the cats have stayed. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Yes, pets are family and they will always be there to help us through life's ups and downs.

Their love is unconditional and they never judge.

That is a comforting thought. (paws)

Jealousy can and has been lethal. This is a brilliant entry for this particular writing prompt. You have my vote, my friend. Best of luck in the votes, I see this rising to the top.
God bless,
Steve

I voted for Happy almost killed me .. family should be a loving caring environment , the outside world is already oppressing enough where we have to fake.

I thought it was an interesting, unexpected take on "Happy"

    Keep safe!

Franca,
Exceptional poem. I find jealousy a real drag too. I might not have much in the way of material things, my apartment is cluttered with Knick knacks and such, though. I don't covet anyone else's life situation or things.
I love your beautifully-taught and rhythmic rhyme.
Have a nice day, Franca,
Hugs and blessings,
Cindy

Hi,
This is a flowing and well rhymed poem that gives good images of and metaphors for what jealousy does to a person. It is always bad for both
the jealous person and his/her victim.
I see two mistakes. Create should be creates. Stop should be stopped.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great day.
Joan

Thank you I edited the mistakes.

My cats sometimes get jealous.. mainly because they all seek my attention/ affections.

But we are a big happy family.

I try my best to give each quality time( biggrin)
