Hmmm. What's percolating here? I know how you operate, and I know somehow this all has to tie in together. You have definitely piqued my curiosity while simultaneously not giving me one good piece of this puzzle to put in place!! (you low-class Dixie chick, you!!)

Great dialog and scenes...you know, just like always!! xoxoxo

Thank you. You do know how I operate and know I'm just following the scene like the reader. Lol. Thanks for this. Gretchen

This is an interesting approach i would probably use the same approach wait for her to say a person's name. When I was teacher and I was having teacher parent meetings, i couldn't remember the name of this lady's son. I kept hoping she would say his name. She finally didSo now I can refer to him by his name. A good resolution: "He sighs again and nods. "You're right. I'm gonna straighten them out. When they get home from school, I'm gonna sit them down and let them know who's boss." He pushes back the chair and stands. "I've got this."

Thank you so much. Matt grumbles but rarely stands up to opposition. I'm sure his kids will push back. Lol. Gretchen

I loved this chapter, Gretchen. So many good lines in it, like "greets me with the warmth of a frozen tundra wind" and "Poor guy. He doesn't stand a chance."

Miranda is very perceptive, realistic, and direct--the latter often getting her into trouble with people--but she has a good heart and gives good advice, even though she knows it may not be so easy to follow.

The more I get to know her, the more I love the character.

Hello Gretchen,
I absolutely love the way you write gal. I don't know why we don't have more sixes at our disposal, but we don't, and once again you're getting cheated out of what you deserve. This is going to be interesting to see what happens to Tomlin. I think too often poor behavior on the part of a teacher is overlooked, in part because of tenure. They have a terribly strong union, which places teachers over students. One only has to see the decline in public education to know that's true. In any event, this story had me riveted. Well done gal.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Tom, all I ever need is to know that you enjoy reading what I write. I'm just happy you continue to keep up with my stories. No six necessary. Gretchen

So Miranda has told here mother in law that Tomlin is grooming a child, and that she needs to watch out and deal with the situation, upon getting into work she discovers that Matt is having trouble with his kids, she tells him to grow a pair, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Mr. Tomlin is such a creep, I hope he's stopped. Hopefully he'll be fired but he will probably find another teacher job. Predators look for passions of power to prey on children and young adults.

Miranda is such a good mother figure.... a fierce lioness mom.

Well done, I enjoyed this chapter.

Thank you so much. I'm sure Elaine will start watching Mr. Tomlin more closely, if only to prove her former daughter-in-law wrong. Lol. Gretchen

Yes, so many are going to step up and take control, but in truth, the only person they are fooling is themselves. LOL. "Take the wheel, Matt." LOL.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, Ric. Sometimes the best advice is to tell someone to man up. Face it or let it go. Gretchen

I hope Elaine does do the right thing, but I feel somehow this will fall back on Waylon. I hope not. Matt has his hands full. I wonder what Dougie's next move will be. I do enjoyed reading.

I think Elaine will keep closer tabs on Tomlin if only to prove her ex-daughter-in-law wrong. Lol. Thank you so much. Gretchen

It is difficult accusing someone of wrong doing without proper evidence, especially a teacher. You always have to have some proof, and when we have proof, someone has suffered as a result. The world works in strange ways Gretchen. Miranda is not scared of telling it as it is though. Another fine chapter Gretchen, love Dolly x x x

Thank you so much, Dolly. Tomlin may or may not get caught. Sometimes, things just don't work out. But Miranda will be watching him,,,closely. Gretchen
