This poem beautifully captures the journey of faith and its transformative power. I love the imagery of faith hanging like an old coat, it's a relatable metaphor that sets the tone perfectly. Your contrast between a security blanket and true faith adds depth, making it clear that faith is about restoration and connection.
The lines about faith as a horizon and a guiding light are particularly powerful, evoking hope and direction. I appreciate how you express faith as something that becomes part of us, emphasizing its importance in our lives. Overall, this is a heartfelt reflection that resonates deeply. Great job!

Hi Karen Cherry Threadgill,
Love love your name! It is entirely catchy, so unique in the whole combination. Is it your birth name or your pseudonym? ... if you don't mind me asking... On to the wonderfully kind review, Karen. Thank you so very much. I felt an instant connection to you for some strange vibe I received upon reading your succinct words so I read through your portfolio and was delighted!
All the best and thanks again.
Good luck to you, too!

Your poem describes the importance of faith and how it feels really well. I particularly liked the line, "True faith carries us on its wings." I thought that was really powerful. A well written piece. Good luck in the contest.

"Faith of a mustard see," is a hard choice to make, believing in what you can't see or touch. But once you finally accept and agree, it changes everything. Thanks for sharing

Many forget about the Lord and our faith except in our times of need, when we beg him to hear our prayers and grant us peace--like finding the old coat only when it's bitter cold. We must stand in His light daily and share our faith, for He will always be at our side.
Smiles, Carol

This is the story of true faith. Of believing there is something beyond this life. This belief holds me together. It justifies my existence and more importantly it promises me a tomorrow, far beyond this human experience. I pray every night, I'm not wrong.
