The more obstacles you have to overcome, the more appreciative you are for the destination. We all have to overcome things in life, but you have to go on. Leave the past in the past and keep moving forward. Beautifully written. Gretchen

This premise makes total sense. I was just writing to roy owen how Jonathan and his father had to die so God's chosen, David could ascend the throne. Jonathan's path was not the simplest or easiest way to go, but it was the path God chose,.

So true, your well-chosen words of wisdom. The easiest way to go is certainly not always the right way. I think most of us learn that as we mature. We find our faith often shows the way to go.

I rarely rate these really short poems. But this one really does deliver a solid message. The other thing to remember on any journey, is the location. If it's good, the time taking travelling is well spent.
