That is so sad when the birds which mate for life are left alone. Their calls would definitely be the "sound of loneliness"! Great job with this haiku with the lovely pictures!

This is a poignant one in which that beautiful bird seems to have been abandoned and alone, left behind to mourn the loss of his mate. We can almost hear his echoing call. Thank you for sharing, Gypsy. Take care Debbie

This is poignant and meaningful, and often reflects the life of people as well, perhaps especially as they age. Beautiful words and presentation.

It's classic haiku so it should be 17 syllables or less in 3 lines. I got carried away lol I fixed it.

Modern Haiku is 1 to 4 lines with no syllables limit but as brief as possible. Thank you 😊

I love to see the Blue Jay, they are so brilliant, so much like the sky in thier heavenly plumage. Rich and breathtaking colored that are complimented by your beautiful verses. Thanks for sharing.

We have numerous Blue Jays in our backyard year-round. They are beautiful but very loud birds, and really not very nice. They don't appear to share well with others. I enjoyed reading your poem and the presentation.

This is a really sad piece, I could feel the loss and the blue jay's heart aching for another blue jay to be with him. This is something, sadly, I think, many people can relate to as well. An excellent piece.
