Yes sir! I was sent here by an evil Queen to muse at what you offer. You offer a straightforward and very poetic critique of the system that is holding my creativity ransom. I write a story that is perfect to enter into a fun contest, but, since I posted it prior to the contest I can't enter. The problem for me is that I'm not very prolific yet. I have to be inspired. Most of the prompts don't do it for me. It's the conversations with the other members that do it for me.

Lol. I agree, most of these prompts aren't very inspiring, that's for sure. And yeah, holding my creativity ransom doesn't get it either. Thank you for the excellent review and fat sixer, Eean. Made my day. Have a good one, friend.

If you are like me, you make your own day. When you receive a nice review, that's just icing.

DragonSkulls,
Congrats on winning the What Makes Me Happy Contest. This poem speaks exactly to how I feel when prohibited from entering all the contests offered on Fanstory. Occasionally I will still post an poem that would be an entry in a 30 day no win contest as a non entry just to get feedback. What I hate the most is missing the deadline for a contest that I planned to entry. But what has made me happy this year after 8 years as a member is the 10 wins I received in August and September.
All the best,
Eugene
F.Y.I. I regard every 6 star review as a contest win also.

Funny thing, I just sent a message to Tom today about this. I was referencing the prose prompts...there have been TWO prose prompts in the last TWENTY-FIVE days that were not 30-day no win. I wish they'd get rid of the no-win category, or at least use it sparingly. You got my vote.

Thank you for the fantastic review, Julie. Yes, they should just get rid of that. If they want no win contests then let the members create them, not the site. I love the contests and shouldn't be limited just because I take a win here and there. I really appreciate the stars and support, Julie. Thank you again.

Four out of the first six in today's listing are for thirty days, no win. A high proportion. I've almost given up on thinking about contests. An excellent poem, smooth and well rhymed. I would like to wish you success, but if you win, you'll be excluded for another thirty days!

Hahaaa. Yep, that's what will happen. I just don't think that's fair. I can see if a member created a contest with 30 days no win, but the 'site' doing it? That's a bit too far for my likings. Thank you for the great review and good luck wishes, Wendy. I'm glad you liked my little rant. Lol

What makes you happy also makes me happy, and I have the same complaint--not being able to enter ALL contests because I won one I the last thirty days. Good luck in this one. Rod

Thank you for the great review and stars, Rod. Yeah, it's bugged me ever since they changed it. I don't appreciate it one bit. All I can do is gripe about it. Lol. Have yourself a great night and thanks again.
