Another fine poem, Gypsy....and doesn't this seem like the truth sometimes? Whose the master? We have to admit that they are, and we're only here to give them food!

I think that our fascination with dogs can't be exaggerated, they have a place in our hearts that is second only to our kids and family. I like the opposite role reversal of your poem and the the overall beauty of your presentation.

Hahaha! What a perfect slant on the dog/human relationship!! I am going to think of this poem now every day @ the park with Li'l Swish Allen!!
I heard a comedian say once that if someone from another planet came down to earth, they would think that DOGS were the leaders and humans were the servant-class: the dog goes in front of the human on walks, the human picks up the dog's excrement and carries it around, the dog is pet and groomed and fed by the human. That was so true, it was funny! Xoxo
