Aww poor Penny! You've cleverly infused the shortest of fictions with a note of poignancy and sweetness, well complemented with a lovely visual. Well done and good luck! Debbie

Well done. I didn't know baby opossums were joeys. I learned something new. Fifty-word flash fiction is difficult at best, and you made good use of the fifty you had. Good luck in the contest.

Opossums are among the greatest survivors on earth. We have loads of them in West Tennessee, visiting our garbage cans every night. What a wonderfully written story. Good luck in the contest! Have a great day, and God bless.

I enjoyed reading your delightful poem. I've never written a dribble poem. I will have to write one. I sure hope Penny the Possum received more next door.
Thanks for sharing!

You must be an Aussie, how else would you know that Joeys need to be fed, but they usually give birth a few, I'm guessing, do they call American possum's young Joeys? Heh heh, but cleverly written my friend, blessings Roy

I had to use Google to get the info but apparently both Aussie and US possums are called joeys. The things Fanstory can teach you!
