I pray everyday for a cure, our world has gone crazy, no one can see the future. I do believe we have a future, but what it will be like is unimaginable. Your poem makes the reader think, I like that.

An interesting futuristic dystopian view, but hopeful. A "War of the Worlds" setting, but with much more far-reaching results. I like your imagery, especially the allusions to "easy street", roads, and paths. Nicely done. Good luck in the contest.

Oh, now this free verse offering certainly takes the mind to a number of different places... some which fit perfectly and some that need a little more of a philosophical view... for any of them you have written a wonderful 'no restrictions' here!!! ;) Great job and best of luck to you! ;)

We are destroying our home planet , the poor will end up living under ground
Fighting amongst ourselves , we can help it.
while the rich will book a trip to Mars where Elon Musk
plans to make mankind's new residence .
At least on Mars there is less to trash , it's barren already .
We have such a beautiful home planet but we don't respect or love it.
Cool artwork.

We rely heavily on science to deliver us from, not only disease and ailments, but from a tough life and the joys of existence, but their is a need in every human being of being loved and to have meaning, much too difficult for science, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

fascinating.
and certainly thought provoking.
I don't know the purpose of those monoliths, whether they have warning devices, air holes, or what, but they would be a dead give away to an enemy that people were below.
If you don't mind my asking, what are they? and where?
Curious,
Katharine

This poem feel like the life of a soldier who has signed to death and walks the difficult path of war to reach a home 'beneath the surface.' Hoping for a solution to warfare someday. This was well delivered. Good luck in the contest.
