Nicely done would not change a thing. I hope you find friends here like I have. I get edited every time I write practically. But, more often than not they are right. I am bad on quote tags and commas. One thing, you did not mention in the author notes where your picture comes from. Always do this. When I first got her I was pecked to death about it. :-)

I'm starting to get to know the people and always come back to see what they have written. You learn from the best.

This is an excellent nonet highlighting the skill with which a spider can weave her gossamer tapestry that is strong enough to catch a meal, yet delicate enough to float on a breeze. Great entry for the contest.

Nice poem and with different formatting. Everything revolves around the spider who is a wonderful engineer. They can certainly weave a web. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

One might think that, like us trees age, sub-coming to changes and their given abilities. I saw a tornado, grab ten footer up, hurling it like a spear: going ten feet. Magnificent strenght: by illustrated might. In my opinion.

Thank you, TPAC. That would have been a spectacular but frightening scene.

This is a lovely nonet and you kept the form. Very few realize that a nonet is form poetry, not just syllable count. Yours is sure to catch the judges' eyes. A winner, I suspect.
Sending you my best today as always, and my best wishes for the upcoming contest.

Creative wordplay! I can't say I've seen the word "gossamer" used in a hot minute, and your metaphor of "velvety labyrinths" is a fine touch. Good job!

Fun poem and well written. I have a spider that built a web outside my apartment window. The window doesn't open, it amazes me how that web holds up in all kinds of weather.

Their silk is pretty strong and flexible. It's spring in Australia and there are spider webs everywhere. Thank you for your review.

Your poem is a very creative work, full of beautiful imagery. I love most the ending where though they worked hard with commitment through all seasons, 'they never brake'. Very inspirational. Well done, dear Kahlani, and good luck in the Nonet contest.

Well, they break if someone accidentally walks through them...Speaking of which, have you seen the meme that reads: I just did a week's worth of cardio after accidentally walking through a spider's web.
They are pretty amazing creations, though. And this one in your picture is especially magical.
Best of luck in the Nonet Poetry Contest! xoxox

Then I get plenty of cardio in because it is spring in Australia and there are spider webs everywhere. Thank you again.

I saw a video of a Hunter spider carrying a MOUSE up the front of a refrigerator!! That's got to be some REALLY serious web they make!!!

Great job with your nonet format! You kept it to create that perfect triangular format using different font sizes. I never thought of that - I kept puzzling over different words! What a lovely, laudatory poem for the lowly spider who is a weaving whiz! Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you for your lovely comments. It's spring in Australia, and there are spider webs everywhere, but none as beautiful as the one shown.

You're welcome! Your name reminds me of the Hawaiian word for Heaven, Kalani.
