This is such a heartfelt poem. I enjoyed reading it. I liked where you talked about a paper boat. I lost a sister too. She died after she was born. Well written

This is a beautiful free verse poem for a child that has died. I'm sure your mother was devastated to lose your three-year sister. I'm sure she was thrilled when you came into her life. I lose a little girl at two months and your poem was special

Gypsy,
Congratulations on your 4000 post!
I wish my muse would lead me to such prolificacy!
I read where the beautiful Madonna painting is forever lost! Very sad.
I'm sorry about your mom's depression. Every once in awhile I step onto that road.
Great poem of love and salvation, Gypsy.
Best wishes,
Cindy

Congratulations on your 4000 Milestone Post~that number staggers me, amazing!
This is a beautiful poem for your sister in memory of her. It has a lovely presentation and wonderful artwork. My first grandson passed at a year old and my twin grandchildren were born 8 years later~my daughter also suffered from depression and we keep him a part of our family so his brother and sister will know him and remember him. Well done! (one note: I believe in the context you are intending, mantel{fireplace shelf} should be mantle{cloak or covering}).

Congratulations on your 400-milestone post. I am actually surprised you don't have more. You post twice a day. I went over and checked when you became a member. It was 2015.

This poem is very emotional. I could feel it as I read. It's excellent.

This poem is a beautiful tribute to a deceased little sister, a 'little angel.' and with an appropriate visual of the 'Madonna of the Streets.' Sacred sentiments.

This free verse, Sleep Little Angel, after reading the notes, brings the sweet child to our joint interest, as many souls like her wait for us somewhere in the ethereal mist.

What a moving poem to your sister, Gypsy. I lost my 4 yr old and I could see him in your words. I, too, was blessed with another son (after being told it was impossible). Miracles happen when they are suppose to. Beautiful!

Oh my gosh, this was absolutely beautiful. The paper boat that waited to transport your sister and it was filled with hopes and dreams. While your mother waits on the other shore. So sad yet so beautiful and filled with peace. Gretchen

So that's your older sister since she was born before you. How devastating for you mother and what a gift you are to her - another beautiful blue-eyed baby!
Congratulations on your 4,000th post!

Thank you, big sister. Yes, she was my little sister but I never met her. I wish I had pictures of her, she was so beautiful. She got very sick and a doctor gave her an injection (i don't know what it was) and she died. Maybe she was allergic. My mother suffered from depression and after Mari Angeles death, she tried to kill herself several times. I guess I get the depression illness from her.

I am glad you like it. I can't believe it's the 4000 post... wild.

    love you,

    marival
