Is he likely to consider it is time to retire? He seems to have punished a lot of truckers, and the police are probably looking for him. He doesn't see, to be worried what his daughter will fell about his new occupation.

Thank you for your very nice review.
I'm afraid Clyde is not done yet.

This is quite a fascinating tale of a grieving husband's descent into evil and possibly madness. It reminds me a little of Walter White in Breaking Bad, the way you start out sympathizing with him for contracting a disease which will kill him and wanting to provide for his family, but then gradually he changes over time and turns into an evil person who's self-gratification becomes paramount and all-consuming.

I don't know if Clyde will come to his senses before some other catastrophe, (the rollover on a busy highway likely caused some deaths), but his desire for revenge against bad truck drivers is definitely getting out of hand.

It's an interesting and suspenseful concept you've got going here, Wayne.

Thank you. He is definitely in a spiral. But he thinks he is in control. There's a ways to go yet, though.
A movie that came to me only after I wrote was 'Falling Down' with Michael Douglas. It was a guy in a terrible spiral.
    Thanks again.

I think Clyde is losing his focus on the difference of good and bad...his anger has turned into a mounding pile of revenge and it's getting more and more dangerous for all involved... including Clyde. He can't go on forever.

Absolutely right. Wrong-headed, wrong course. But for the grace of God, go I.
Thank you for your very kind review.

I think Clyde is gradually losing his grip on reality, and on what's important in life. In his mind he is doing others a service - but he is acting just as dangerously as the truckies. He won't be able to continue doing this for much longer.

You're getting me worried here. Poor Clyde is losing grip with what's really important. While it's understandable that he has this feeling for revenge but put postpone getting together with his daughter, that's awful. I have to do all that kind of arranging - my girls don't think of calling to arrange visits like that. Man, if I were Clyde, I'd go visit - but I'm not doing those illegal shenanigans. He seems to be getting more into his criminal activities and I wonder if that other driver on the phone will show up again.

When I was a kid and my dad drove the family from Pennsylvania to Virginia, we loved to see truckers. We begged Dad to blow his horn as he pulled up beside them, and most waved to us. Now, my husband tries to get as far away from them as possible. They're dangerous.

I hope Clyde stays ahead of cops and we don't lose Clyde in the end.

Thank you for your great review.
We used to stick our arms out the window and pump them up and down. truckers would sound their air horns.

Couldn't the "Billy the Kid" way end in someone being shot? Like the trucker? Clyde needs to take lessons from "Dexter", who always planned things out precisely:-)

The authority's estimate for what? Tire shootouts? You jump from the phone call to that sentence, leaving us wondering what you mean.

"Clyde knew what they taught in driver's school: it's your road!" Do you want all of that in quotes?

I agree with your last line: Clyde is becoming increasingly criminal in nature. At some point, he may have to face the truth of what he is doing, which is almost worse than what the truckers are doing.

Thanks, Wayne.

Great edits! Thank you for each one.
His previous way was to attempt to precisely target the front wheel. Hitting a drive wheel (rear) he would have to should faster. He thought that snapping over several shots (like B the K), he would have a better chance for luck.
    Last line... right-o.

He is searching for trouble. He is two steps away from wearing tin foil for a hat. I am sleeping a lot more these days. I hope you and yours are doing well. Good writing. Have a good week. Karen

Clyde out trying to repay truckers with vengeance for the death of his wife, almost sounds like all the other incidents we are reading about in the papers and seeing on television every day. Angry people in an angry world.
LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. And add to Clyde's loss the road rage at inconsiderate truckers.

I'm an equal opportunity hater these day. The inconsiderate truckers, and about everyone else on the highways. People have come to believe everything is about them and the heck with everyone else. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely right. With all out travelin', I've learned (stereotyped) drivers according to their state tags, as well as the make of their vehicle.

A very good continuation. Wish I had more stars. Your writing is realistic and draws us into the story and gives us an eye-witness feeling of the action. I will be there waiting to see what happens to Clyde next.
