You suffer from allergies with pollens and some scents of flowers. Such a shame you can't enjoy, sneeze-free, the pleasures of spring. Best wishes for your fun poem in the contest.

and Fall, too. It's not that bad, really. It's mostly the runny nose. Kleenex always at the ready :) Thanks for reading and for your very nice comments.

Katharine,
Congratulations on your 750 milestone post!
I'm afraid I'lll
have to wait 6 or 7 more months for our Spring.
Nice poem, Katherine, and great photo.
Best wishes,
Cindy

well, we will, too, but that's what the contest is for. Actually there's the same allergy stuff in the air right now, in the Fall. Of course our Fall, here, is 90 degrees still. ugh.
Thanks for reading, Cindy and for your congrats!

An excellent entry for the Spring writing prompt. Boy can I relate to this poem. It sounds very accurate to the things I experience when the pollen shows up. cute poem. Fun to read. Congratulations on your milestone post!

thanks so much, Marilyn. unfortunately, the same applies to the Fall, for me. The milestone post surprised me, but thanks, also, for the congrats!

Well, this is certainly one aspect of Spring most writers avoid or simply do not think about. Usually it's flowers, bunnies and sunshine, but I appreciate you being honest. Allergies suck in the Spring.

Great idea.

Ah, the spring sneezies. I get autumn sneezies so I sympathise with those who are a-chooing in spring. I enjoyed this one. It has playful and exasperated overtones befitting the theme.

thanks, Sally, however, I get them in the Fall, too. I don't think I'm ever without a Kleenex.
Thanks for reading and for your comments.

LOL, I get those cough, wheeze, and sneezes every spring and then again in the fall when the furnace is turned on--crazy! And of course, my nose itches all the time from allergies. Life is grand!

well, Carol, you sound like me. Fall, too, and nose, 365 days of the year. I think, when I die, a Kleenex will have grown to my hand. Only, our "Fall" is still 90 degrees and humid. I cannot wait for cool, but furnace? maybe December.

A different slant on Spring--the allergy season. Hay fever is no fun as you point out in this poem very descriptively. Autumn can be just as bad. I love your title. Best of luck in the contest. Rod

thanks, Rod, and you're right about Fall. I bet Kleenex stock is going through the roof! I forgot to mention the eyes. Goin' to go get my drops.
Thanks for your very kind words - much appreciated.

There are a lot of people in that boat with you. The most profound thing spring offers is a heavy tissue usage and a wet face. You have hit it on the button. Good one!

I need eye drops to read this. Forgot to mention that. I believe Fall has its share of allergens.
Thanks for your kind words and best wishes. I should have Kleenex stock! pink is not a nice nose color.
