I am sorry to read that you had been sick but it was heartwarming to see that yu had a lot of help from friends and care givers.. True friends are very important and one has to take trouble to cultivate friendship...

It's no trouble at all to cultivate friendships. I love making new friends. My caregivers like working for me so we develop friendships that last a lifetime.
    Thanks for the positive feedback.
    Enjoy the day.

So sorry to hear you had to be in the hospital, but your poem sounds upbeat and indicates you are doing well. Caregivers are certainly a blessing. What lovely lines these are:
My circle of friends and caregivers makes me feel complete. I am at one with them and we celebrate the togetherness of our love for each other.
Nice post.

This is lovely, Jesse--very uplifting and heartwarming. One of the best things about these interconnective friendships is that they can take place anywhere, at any time, with anyone. We live in Queens, NY and, twice, including on our recent cruise, we went on vacation and my daughter managed to befriend someone her own age who lives in the neighboring borough of Brooklyn. In both cases, the friendships have continued after we returned home.

I'm happy that you managed to find these wonderful interconnective friendships, and that they were able to give you all the support and companionship you needed, in general and, particularly, while you were in the hospital. I'm so glad you're feeling better.

Hello Michele. After coming home from the hospital I realized how grateful I was to have caregivers who are also friends. They helped me pull through the ordeal at the hospital when the staff was giving me grief and it looked like I was going to stay too long, my caregivers came to my rescue and I was home lickity split.
Thanks for your understanding, my friend.
It's great that your daughter made new friends and then kept them after returning from vacation.
I am slowly getting better. Every day my caregivers show compassion as I give it all I've got.
I always look forward to your review. You are a good friend and you always show your kindness to me.
Enjoy the rest of the week!

You're very lucky. My mother's and mother-in-law's caregivers were nice enough people, but definitely not what I'd call friends. I'm so glad you had true friends helping you, both in and out of the hospital. And I'm even more glad that you're getting better. Just keep pushing, as you always do.

I will, Michele. Thanks for caring for and supporting my caregiving friends. They are the best!
    I will keep pushing on!

Hi Jesse, I loved this. It was so touching and from your heart. I particularly like: to reach out touch someone's touchstone. What a beautiful way to say how much your care for another person. You are a special person.

    Hello Ric.
Thanks for your support and thoughtful review.
Yes, my caregivers jumped in and made a difference while I was in the hospital. They advocated for me and helped the staff to know the kind of person I am and how I want to be treated.
    Thanks for your good wishes.

What a perfect reminder of an important life lesson. Grow your friendships like flowers. Care for them gently over the years and you will have them for a lifetime. To have a good friend, you must be a good friend in return. I hope you continue to get better and return to full health soon.

Yes, friendships are like flowers; you need to water them and tend to them to watch them grow. Thanks for reminding me of that great life lesson. To have a good friend you need to be a good friend.
This is so true and relevant in today's world of division.
I am feeling better every day.
Thanks, Marilyn for this inspiring review.
    Enjoy the day.

"with a little help from my friends." reminds me of the Beatles. :)

Well done

Hi Jesse

I am only reviewing your posts and those by one other author as it still hurts.

But, I'm so happy that you have these caregivers and friends I like to count myself among your friends although I know it's not the same as my being there

This is a very touching piece where you share your feelings and I know that can be hard to do, but it can also be enlightening and empowering.

This review is done with love for you

Thanks, Pam. I appreciate you singling me out to review. I know how hard it is to do after surgery. Pain is your constant companion.
I'm glad you found this touching and empowering.
The love that you share with me touches me deep in my soul.
You are a good friend, Pam and I count you as one of my closest friends here on Fanstory.
    Love,
    Jesse

When you're young and healthy, you don't expect to need or rely upon the care and concern of others. Your piece shows that it's possible to find comfort in sustaining relationships through life's difficulties. Nicely done!

Yes, the young will be surprised when they find out they will need care from others when they grow old.
Sustaining relationships throughout the ages is the best thing we can hope for. I am fortunate to have friends who are also caregivers.
    Thanks for the positive feedback.
